I don’t usually do reviews of any sort, but this place definitely merits one. What an absolute dirt hole, extremely dirty. I’m not sure how you’re even suppose to sleep there with the extremely loud bar smack dab in the centre of this place. I’m glad I spent less then 12 hours here. Save your money, sleep at the airport or rent a car trust me you’ll thank me later.

My wife and I recently vacationed in the Bahamas. We had an unpleasant first two days there and have asked the "resort" for a refund , but they have not responded in any way to our request. We changed to Breezes after meeting some people on the bus to downtown and discovering that we were paying the same amount of money per night for a hotel that had much less to offer.

The morning we took this bus ride downtown, we had just had a very unpleasant night because the hotel management had a private party for some locals and they attempted to serve us our meal on a patio so we wouldn't be in the way. This meant the entire common area of the hotel was not really available to us for the night. Since the room has no television, radio, or even good lighting, we were left with either leaving or listening to the walls pound music and try to read or sleep. The next morning, the breakfast service was late with more paltry than usual offerings including a pitcher of spoiled milk. Up until this time, my usually cheerful and optimistic wife decided enough was enough. After viewing the Breezes and Radisson hotels (on the recommendation of other tourists we met on the bus), we opted to move to Breezes (even though is was $20 more per night) and had a wonderful time there.

The following list is what we didn't get at the Land Shark that the Radisson offers for the same daily rate:

Private shower
Adequate lighting in the rooms and baths
Unlimited drinks and/or choices of drinks.
Snacks, desserts, and choices at meals.
Fresh milk at breakfast.
Airport transfers (both us and the other
guest that arrived on the same day were unable to get our promised airport transportation and had to pay cabs to get us to the Land Shark- (they refused to reimburse us)

Bath rooms with counter space and mirrors suitable for women who might like to put on make up and dress up a bit.

A view of something not cinder block or treated wood.
Beach towels.
A beach or view of a beach.
Hot tub and pool under palm trees or w/ a view.

Entertainment opportunities other than Vin Diesel
movies on the big screen tv at the bar.

TV, phone, clock radio in room.

The hotel sales person, Mr. Lindsay Peterson commented that smaller hotels should offer Bahamian culture and feel- I have no problem w/ that, but the decor and ambiance of the Land Shark is duplicated at the edge of every small town in America- a cheap cinder block hotel next to the highway- this is NOT a resort in the commonly used form of the word. We discussed the Land Shark with many Bahamians and all of them agreed that the
conditions we encountered at the Land Shark were substandard CONSIDERING THE PRICE.

My wife and I have traveled to Europe, Africa, Mexico, and other parts of the Carribean. We have stayed in places that are somewhat primitive and enjoy that when they are offering what is expected or unique to the area. What's offered at the Land Shark is NEITHER a good deal and or unique- Proof of this
is a 1/2 mile walk to the east.

I'm used to budget travel, but this place is TERRIBLE! To list just some of the problems: Towels have holes and/or stains on them. The room was filthy. Sheets too small for the bed so they don't tuck in and you end up sleeping on the mattress. Wifi was broken for 5/10 days we were there and (with the exception of 1 staff member) they could not care less, despite the fact I had work to do. No phone, payphones are broken and when I used a calling card on the office phone it hardly worked, I couldn't hear properly and the ladies int he office were yelling and screaming). Strange local men sit under the cabana and stare so it is SUPER uncomfortable to use the (poorly maintained) pool. Staff and local people have giant loud parties there at night and blare the TV. No bar/food options. Hardly any hot water - you get a dribble from the tap for 2 mins then it does off for several minutes and you have to stand in the TINY TINY shower for ages waiting for another tiny dribble of hot water. Pillows are flat as a pancake and the staff were super rude when we asked for a second pillow (but after 3 requests we got one). No hairdryer available. No towels for use in the pool or beach (and rude attitude when I asked). No umbrellas to borrow. Staff are generally RUDE, and really couldn't care about guests. Bar fridge in room is luke warm despite being on coldest setting and doesn't keep food/drinks cold. Best thing about this hotel is that the bus comes regularly out the front and you can get away from it. However it is still about 20mins bus trip away from anything interesting. There is also a supermarket within walking distance which is handy. Even with this price, there are better options that are closer to downtown Nassau. If you're just looking for a simple cheap room, look downtown for a similar price, or on air BnB. This place is nasty, and after being study there for 10 days, there is NO WAY I would go back!!!!!

We made reservations on Hotel.com and our Credit Card was charged. Our travel dates were right after Christmas and hotel's were limited at this time. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that they had already sold our rooms to other guest. I explained that we had confirmed reservations and payment had already been accepted. They were unapologetic and told us we would have to find rooms elsewhere. As a result of their poor management, I was forced to pay almost four times the amount at the Hilton as this was one of the only rooms available. Coco Plum Management's refusal to honor their obligation was unacceptable. And the fact that they didn't care if they put us out on the street with no lodging or apology is why they don't even deserve the one star rating. Stay at this hotel at your own risk! Lastly, don't be fooled by the pictures of the hotel. It is a definitely a Dive. Even our taxi driver (a local), said no one stayed here.

No sign, no one at office when we came back to tell them we were leaving, no "high quality bedding and linens", no deadbolt, paper thin door, delapidated. Money wasted! Kind of scary area.

Stayed here after a flight was canceled and needed something close to the airport. Dingy and dirty only begin to explain the rooms. The rooms are super small, the bed is pretty worn down and stained with things I don't want to know about. The towels are also stained with more things I don't want to know about. The only good thing is that I did not see any of the bugs that the other reviewers mentioned.

The main communal space stays pretty loud and active until after midnight, which would be fine if it weren't for the paper thin walls and door that allow you to hear everything. The door was so thin that the slightest breeze shakes it making you feel as though someone is trying to get into the room.
All in all, just avoid it. Really put a damper on an otherwise great trip.

I have never stayed such a disgusting hotel.
Although staff were friendly, there were some cockroaches, dirty room and towels, and no sheet changes, and I couldn't use Wi-Fi in my room and had to go out side to do internet.
Also, during our stay, I sometimes couldn't use water systems(toilet, shower, etc.) and when I could use water, that color was BROWN!!
You shouldn't stay this hotel if you go Bahamas.

When I checked in I was expecting a room with two double beds or to sleep a family of four. I was overcharged $136.61 but the original charged should have been $89.00.
I was given another room in which appeared to be clean, but as I looked closely at the pillow cases and the sheets I noticed they were dirty. I request to have the room cleaned which was done. It seems as though they were aware that this room was not clean room and was not ready for new guest. The room was missing a TV and I was told that one would be transferred to the room for me. I had to complain 4 times before one was brought to the room for me.
Later on in the evening as I was sitting on the bed I not that their was an insect in the room so i dismissed it because it would've came from outside.
But a few minutes later I saw it again this time I looked closely and realized it was a roach. There were roaches crawling on the walls on the night stands and in the shower. This property was infested with roaches and I had an unwanted guest in the room. (gecko Lizard)

This place does not exist! We were dropped off from the airport here and the windows were boarded up, trash all around, and not at all as pictured on Expedia. Gang infested spot. We were informed that this location has changed hands 9 different times. Again, DO NOT stay here for safety reasons above all else.

I booked a room for two nights. When I arrived at the Hotel they told me that they were overbooked! They tried to send me to a dirty looking motel but I had to pay a few dollars more if I wanted to go there! So i decided to start looking for an other hotel on my own in the lobby using their terrible wifi.
What surprised me was seeing that they were still selling rooms while they appear to be overbooked!
The receptionist committed some calls and then told me that she had a room for me. It's a room that was already booked but they would offer these guests the same motel as me.

So first the receptionist showed me my room. This was absolutely not the room I had booked. The room I had booked would have a refrigerator and a coffee machine and would be sound silent. These were all not to be found in the room that was offered to me. This was their chespest room and I payed for an other room. The receptionist told me that they don't have rooms with refrigerators and coffee machines. I showed the lady a picture of the room I booked on the booking site. She told me that these rooms were more expensive. So they do have these rooms! They could do nothing about the price, this was their only other solution.
I decided to agree with this room and do my complain to my booking site.
Then they asked me to pay the total amount, while in my confirmation email stands that the first night would be amortized from my creditcard.
They said that's not how they do it.

When I finally got in to my room I noticed that there were no towels. I went back to the receptionist and asked for some towels. After two hours I still had no towels so I went back again to ask for them.
They only had new towels the next morning!
Unfortunately, this was not yet over.
In the room I also noticed there were cobwebs on the ceiling, the floor was dirty and not mopped, there were stains on the sheets and long black hairs on the floor in the bathroom!
After I used the toilet and the shower for the first time, they were clogged!

After this enoying day, I went to bed and noticed that this room wasn't noice silent at all. I could literally here every word the guests above me said and with every step they took was if the ceiling was comming down.
And in my opinion these guests did nothing special up there.

I will never recomend this place to anybody!
The best part of my stay here was checking out!
