This is a relatively small resort of 437 rooms, some built 25 years ago, some 12 years ago. Our room of a king size bed and a pull-out couch, for 3 women was perfect and the view of the sea was most beautiful at all hours of the day. The food is very delicious and the variety is ever changing. There are many restaurants to reserve at the front desk and the Morgan’s Pier was our favorite followed by the Tree Top Pizza and Pasta. We also loved the Bambou. In the Palms restaurant, the plentiful and fresh buffet had a different theme every day from the Caribbean, the Mexican, the Indian specialties amongst the standard western fare. The Jardin, although the food was good, the extra charge was not worth it. There was a push to sell better quality wine and we did not like that. The service was old Style French and much too elaborate and stuffy. Few client chose this option. The Café offered different varieties of coffees and teas and a big choice of pastries and fruit. We went twice a day. All the staff everywhere was extremely attentive, competent, going out of their way to accommodate us and smiling a lot. We appreciate this a lot. The beach is most beautiful and well maintained and many water activities, small catamaran, paddle boards, sea canoe, all included. Volleyball on the beach and the aerobics in the pool were much attended. The bars offer variety of Caribbean cocktails never more tasting than the Rum Punch. This is not a resort offering a variety of night entertainment although we liked some of the music and danced a storm on our first night.one. We appreciated the hotel concern for the environnement, the perfectly manicured lawns and beautiful flowers, the cleanliness of the rooms, beach chairs and beach and the fact that there was no line up anywhere. Improvements might include WiFi everywhere ( it is now in selected areas and not in the rooms) and shuttles to Castries the Capital of Ste Lucia, several times a day.
This is a wonderful resort on all aspects and we highly recommend it!

We arrived after 1.5 hours from the southern airport, the roads are good but you’re crossing over mountain ranges and hills so lots of hairpins and great views. The complex is located above Castries and very accessible via small buses or taxi to the south, Rodney Bay to the north.
There is the typical buffet restaurant with is open for breakfast lunch and dinner, other restaurants have to be booked in reception. The resort is set in lawned grounds with lots of trees and vegetation, some areas are at higher levels so if you can’t walk up steps let them know as this may help choose your room location. The rooms are without doubt looking tired we travelled with friends and their beachfront room was similar, taps/faucets take a bit of getting used to, but as the week progresses you’re more relaxed and chilled so less of an issue. Beach and pool beds were plentiful, no long queues at the two pool/beach bars. Our stay saw the hotel closing at the end of our week and there were less guests each day, some persists and amenities closing down, we had a good holiday but as the corona virus problem progressed in our home country we were glad to get home. Our tour operator TUI and the hotel offered trips and excursions, we chose TUI for the Rainforrest Gondola trip and took a private birding/wildlife trip with SLBWA stluciawildlife.com for a fantastic tour of the island seeing 39 different species, personally guided by a resident expert named “Vision” he pulled all of the stops.

We had a great vacation but I wouldn't return. I will preface this by saying that our last Vacation was at an adults only resort in Cozumel; Secrets which was fabulous & St. James club just didn't measure up & the cost was the same. We upgraded our room to Ocean View..don't waste your money. Friends stayed in the base room & the rooms were identical! Our room was one level up so we had a view of the ocean. Rooms were ok, dated & the bathroom was not great. It was a shower/tub & the tub was deep and short but water pressure was actually good. We had to call housekeeping every day to get shampoo & conditioner, housekeeping never replenished it when they cleaned the rooms. No outlets near the bed, & behind the dresser was a fire waiting to happen..so many cords! The outlet available was by the door. Our door was not the greatest, had to slam it super hard otherwise the door wouldn't lock. AC worked great but the addition of a ceiling fan would have been nice. Bed was very comfortable. Grounds were lovely & well kept. Beach was nice but they need more umbrellas, everyone huddled together in order to get shade. Buffet for breakfast & lunch was great, lots of variety. Didn't like that if you wanted to eat at le gardin you had to pay $35 USD per person, & at Morgan's pier (seafood), if you wanted to order the seafood platter you had to pay extra for it ($55 USD). So much for all inclusive! Beach towels were unlimited and exchange as often as you like which was awesome!!

We had 10 days as a family in January, this is a big hotel, really well organised, tidy though with a 95% + occupancy rate it is all "well used" it has been going a long time and is not a new facility, We enjoyed our stay the rooms were clean and functional, the food good enough, it is not fine dinning, but what is offered is well presented, for an AI hotel it is good, staff are really great and enthusiastic, happy to engage with the guests.

Not sure the premium restaurant is worth the extra, $35 for "a bit better steak" compared to going "in to town" for a night or two for not much more and getting some really great food.

Lunch best place is up by the tennis courts, the pool and bar up the hill to the right of the resort (looking out to sea) is quieter than the main pools

All in all great value for money for a big AI hotel.

We went to St James club, Morgan Bay and St Lucia for the first time in March 2020, and we could not fault this resort at all, the resort is so clean, the people are beautiful, very kind and happy and nothing is too much trouble for them, from the maids that clean the rooms to the bar staff and restaurant staff, all were amazing.
We have said that we will be making it a regular destination for any future holidays.
The food is plentiful and a very varied choice, Palms restaurant in particular was amazing, we did try the other restaurants like the jetty, Bambou, Tree tops and the poolside bar and grill, and out of them all the Palms was always spot on, offering a full range off buffet food, which you could go back and help yourself to as many times as you liked.
Toilets, or restrooms as they call them were spotless and we were particularly impressed with how they handled the issue of the corona-virus, all straws and salt and pepper cellars were removed and replaced with single use packets only, hand sanitizer was at every doorway and a member of staff would stand inside Palms ready to give you another shot of hand sanitizer, they hit it spot on, doing what they could to protect everyone, including their staff.
The only issue we had, or that we could say about the resort was the rudeness and arrogance of a large majority of the American people staying there, they were loud and very brash towards everybody, one evening we sat in Palms restaurant and an older American man just whistled at one of the serving staff to get her attention, there was no please or thank you, or excuse me from any of them and we were on the point of saying something in the defence of the staff, who, were as we have said were very helpful and polite, all day, every day.
Unfortunately some people have no manners or respect for others, which in this case we found to be a large majority of them to be American.
We really felt for the staff and found it frustrating ourselves so I dont know what the staff would be thinking, as they deserved to be treated far better.
Apart from the Americans, who seem to think they own the place, this resort is amazing and would definitely recommend a holiday at St James Club, Morgan Bay.
While we were there we went on one of Joys cruises, which included the volcanic mud-bath, a very picturesque waterfall, a great view of the Piton, we saw the beach where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean and had lunch at Joys own house before the trip back with the very potent rum punch.
We would like to say a BIG thank you, to ALL the staff, including our rep Cathy, at the resort for making our stay so pleasant.
Oh and by the way, the Caribbean rum is outstanding and very potent :)

We stayed here from 12/29 - 1/5 to celebrate New Years. The resort was quite busy during this time but never felt overly crowded. The checkin process was very smooth with a nice drink offered upon arrival. Despite the crazy busy lobby the staff was very quick to get us all checked in.

We stayed in the 1100 building which was up on the hill and had amazing views of the ocean and property. The walk to these buildings wasn't too bad for us (both relatively healthy) but I did some using the option of getting a ride in the golf cart. Our room felt modern, very clean, and with amazing air conditioning. The room attendant (Virginia) was also very friendly! We saw her just about every day.

Overall, the restaurants were all very delish. The Wednesday night beach party might have been the best food that we had. Sitting outside with so many delicious options was great. Also, very enjoyable was the bbq station on the beach. We went just about every day to try something new. The brisket and ribs were my favorites! Le Jardin was definitely worth the charge but I really liked eating outdoors and Le Jardin is more formal and indoors (albeit with air conditioning). The waitstaff (Kishana was ours!) at Le Jardin is great and ready to meet any requests.

The beach appears small in pictures but we never found it overly crowded even with the resort near full capacity. Very easy to find shade if you wanted it. The drinks were also flowing (our favorite waitress was Audrielle!!). Or if you wanted to get your own there's a nice Beach Bar always making something interesting.

Overall, we really loved this place. New Years Eve was amazing with fireworks on the beach and an amazing assortment of food. We'd definitely go back!!

So good things first: Food most of the time was good, 80% of staff were very nice. Now bad things: The club music blasting until midnight every night was likely fun for the 18 year olds but not for everyone else who wanted to wake up at a rational time to do activities. I’ve been to many all inclusive resorts and this was the only one that blasted the same 4 songs until midnight so loud my bed was shaking on the 2nd floor. Christmas Dinner: We waited for 40 minutes to be seated, only to sit for another 30 mins where our waitress clearly forgot about us, and gave us attitude when we asked her to take our order, THEN brought out all the wrong food with attitude. I didn’t even finish before I left and went to bed hungry. They sent us all apology letters, saying new years would be better, but it was the same horrible experience. I don’t know if they let all the good staff have off on holidays or what, but we paid a lot of money and expected much better. They don’t replace water in the rooms ever, and don’t offer free wifi in rooms. Pools are nice, but they offer 0 activities throughout the day other than water aerobics and other exercise classes. I don’t know about you but I did not come on vacation to work out all day and listen to “I have a feeling” and “dancing queen” 6 times each until midnight. I would go to St Lucia again, but 100% not this resort.

This is our second and third time at resort for our small group that travels. The resort itself is fantastic. I agree it is not as big as some of the major resorts, however this is exactly what we wanted. Everything is close to you, no matter where your room is. The food at every restaurant was great. I agree with some reviews that getting the shampoos and other small amenities in your room should be done automatically everyday and not only on demand. That being said if this is one of the biggest faults we can find, I think we did well.

One of our group booked an OV room that wasn't quite an OV as we expected it to be, however upon politely speaking with the front desk this was immediately rectified. Well done to Kim for having the courtesy and respect to look after guests.

The staff at the resort was absolutely fantastic. The Managers (Sharon and Kim) to some of the restaurant and bar staff (Rohan, Jyan, Michelle and Craig) who all went well above and beyond our expectations. Thank you.

We were in Castries for a day on a cruise ship and had arranged in advance to have a day pass at the St James’s Club. The taxi from the port took 15 minutes and cost $15 each way (negotiated down from the original quote of $20 each way). The beach is lovely and the loungers very comfortable. Food in the restaurant was acceptable - limited in selection and not memorable in quality - and we could not say that service came with a smile. The pool area was quite noisy, with an aqua fit class accompanied by loud music in process when we arrived. Later there was volley ball or something similar - again with music. Music seemed to be played all the time and the environment could not be described as relaxing. Upon arrival we arranged that reception would phone the taxi driver who brought us to come and collect us. A gentleman at reception did so when we were ready to leave and after the call tried to charge us US$3.35. We pointed out that no mention had been made about such a charge before and in any event he should have brought that to,our attention before making the call, so he agreed to waive it. The day pass charge was US$100 per person. Would we go there again or stay there in the future: regrettably no.

Just returned from our 2 week holiday, overall a very good hotel, sadly our Christmas Day evening meal was totally spoilt by the total unorganised restaurants, we were booked into the Bambou restaurant for 7.30pm and had to queue for 2 hours, we didn’t get any food until after 10pm by which time we had missed all of the entertainment.
Other than that I can’t really fault the hotel, our room 1226 was worth every step of the steep uphill climb to get to it, although you will need instructions on how to get the shower to work! beautiful views over the bay and amazing view of the fireworks on New Year’s Eve, sadly the hotel wanted to charge us for using the Hilltop bar New Year’s Eve so we took a drink back to our balcony.
Overall this is a lovely hotel, extremely clean, well kept grounds and most of the staff are really nice and friendly, we loved Fernanda in the lobby bar, she was so nice and helpful she also has a great knowledge of the island.
The beach is beautiful and is kept in tip-top condition, I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
