About
The Campbell River Art Gallery exhibits the contemporary art of professional artists from across Canada in our main exhibition space, as well as in our three satellite cases. The Gallery offers workshops for adults and youth, school and community gallery tours (followed by an art activity), artist in the school programs, Super Saturday free art-making sessions, films and other special events.

Vancouver Island is a special place and it demands a memory...a souvenir that is on par with the experience. It may not be of your artistic taste but is reflective of the travels through this part of the country.

We happened upon this little gallery while at the Campbell River Visitors' Centre at Spirit Square. I enjoyed viewing the (admittedly limited number of) artworks... a couple of which quite appealed to me.
The current exhibition, Horizon Felt, features works by five North American artists: Dan Browne, Scott Bertram, Megan Dickie, Jessica Houston, and Kym Greeley.
The theme suggests landscapes... and the great majority of works seemed to fit this description. As other reviewers suggest, a brief visit to the gallery will suffice. In fairness, it's difficult to see how more artworks might be presented in such a small area. As an amateur marine photographer (Nikonis, GoPro) I particularly enjoyed a large U/W photograph in the entrance and should have jotted down the photographer's details, for an online follow-up... .

Expensive, weird collection of First Nations art and tat. Great view and a nice place to stop on the way from downtown to grab an ice-cream at the pier. Friendly proprietors.

Very small space in and out within forty-five minutes. A good way to spend time within the city limits, was walking distance from our hotel so did not mind that it was over within a short time.
