I would like to offer you a safe place to share what is going on in your life. You may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship issues, psychosis, or other challenges. You may feel stuck and unsure of where to turn. Maybe you have reached out for help but haven't gotten the help that you needed. As your counselor, I would seek to understand what is going on in your life, what is bothering you, and identify the challenges you are having. I would do this collaboratively with you. Coming alongside you, listening to you, and identifying what is going on, and then discussing options to move forward!

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this and begin to take the first step towards your mental health and overall self-explore the potential of your growth. It's tough to manage feelings of hopelessness, anxiety, and past trauma alone. I believe it's important to provide a safe space to process and work through difficult situations.

I consider myself a "clinical opportunist" with an educational, brain-based, and feminist approach to therapy. I value providing clients with tangible skills to manage their mental health while also providing education that's aligned with my clinical mindset & values. Over the years, I have gained a majority of my clinical experience and education through supporting children, adolescents, and adults on the autism spectrum. I have gained a passion and commitment to providing neurodiversity-affirming care to my clients, and education to families, teachers, and other professionals who work in collaboration with me and my clients.

As a therapist I want to help make the hard conversations a little easier to have. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults who may be impacted by symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, perinatal mental health concerns, and substance use. Is life overwhelming? Do you feel depressed, anxious, or chronically stressed? As a therapist, I'm passionate about offering support and teaching clients effective and innovative strategies for overall wellness, using integrative and holistic interventions. Therapy is about understanding and accepting ourselves, challenging old belief systems, letting go of what we no longer need, and learning to be present in our lives. Through your therapeutic work, you can begin to heal past hurts and traumas, reducing overall distress and suffering. Perhaps even, the adversity you’ve faced will transform into the peace and resilience you desire.

The road we travel is not without bumps along the way. These bumps can be the loss of a job, loss of independence, end of relationship or death of a loved one. This may cause many overwhelming feelings of denial, anger or sadness. These are all normal feelings when dealing with life, however if you find yourself having difficulty overcoming these feelings it might be helpful to seek help.
