We often hear about the power of women’s sports for little girls. And don’t get me wrong, nothing makes me happier than seeing my daughter fall in love with NJ/NY Gotham FC and count our players as her role models. AND if the games’ impact is to reach its full potential, we also need to serve as inspiration for boys. They need to be part of this journey. That is why I am incredibly proud to see my two boys, their cousins and friends become super fans of NJ/NY Gotham FC too. Next stop - Paris! 🇺🇸 Emily Tisch Sussman
Agree 100%. See it, respect it!!
My son loves wearing his Gotham t-shirt more than his red bulls shirt. He also has signed swag from a local community event some of the Gotham players attended. I will continue to support women's sports with him by my side! Thanks for all you do for Gotham and women's sports!
Love this and agree! We make games full family outings. My daughter plays and is a super fan of Bay FC. We can’t wait to get to a NJ/NY Gotham FC game next time we’re in NY.
Love this Carolyn Tisch Blodgett!
Totally agree! Equally important for the boys to be awed by what female athletes can do as for girls to see what they someday can do.
🙌 yes! Love this thinking!
Emily, your point about inclusivity in sports fandom is so important. Seeing kids, both girls and boys, look up to athletes like those from NJ/NY Gotham FC ensures a truly impactful legacy. This ripple effect can drive significant change in how we perceive and engage with women's sports. Curious, how do your boys and their friends engage with the games? Sharing their experiences might inspire more families to embrace diverse role models.
I couldn’t agree more. Please have your community impact leader reach out to me for a discussion. I’m with Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady and I have some collaborative thoughts. Thank you and wishing you much success in Paris Fperez@bgcschenectady.com

1wFor so long young girls have loved the mens games (and rightfully so, those athletes are incredible) but seeing women's sports highlighted through your eyes and sharing that with your boys and their peers is just as impactful as sharing with your girls. Rewriting the narrative that we have been taught as women athletes that we are less than does start with representation for young girls, but it also starts with showing young boys that the women's sports are JUST as epic (if not more). Thank you, Carolyn Tisch Blodgett 💙 Go bats!!
