What are the best ways to measure and improve employee engagement and satisfaction?
Key to this is finding ways to “measure” inclusion – and that starts with having an organizational definition of what it means. Gartner has a model of inclusion with 7 identified dimensions - fair treatment, integrating differences, decision-making, psychological safety, trust, belonging, and diversity – that offer a starting point for organizations. Surveying employees (regularly and often) can assist in determining the baseline measure and then the org can continually gauge employee sentiment. Are there hits? Misses? Inconsistencies or misalignment across the business (i.e. in different locales or teams)? And then listen, reflect and learn and take action.

Employee Engagement eBook

Employee engagement. What is it? Why should you care? Studies show that employees that are “engaged” in their work perform significantly better than those who are not. The problem is finding real, tangible ways to make that happen. Good thing there’s a book for that.
