If you've just started a leadership development pilot program, now is the time to learn from all your efforts! Ask yourself: what is contributing most to the changes you want to see? What is enabling change? What is getting in the way? And be sure to gather feedback from participants and stakeholders using surveys and assessments to evaluate: 1. Relevance: Is the content pertinent to the participants' roles and challenges? 2. Newness: Are participants learning new skills and concepts they haven't encountered before? There’s no sense doubling down on things your leaders already excel at. It is much better to spend the time adding new tools to the toolkit. 3. Applicability: How easily can participants apply what they have learned in their day-to-day work? This evaluation process allows you to reflect on the pilot’s successes and failures and is an essential step in improving the program's alignment with your organization’s goals.
