“Mollie takes the time to understand what is authentic to your brand before crafting a marketing strategy around it. She cares deeply about the process of communicating around your product and the people at your company. With this solid base, Mollie is puts together a plan to implement your vision and executes on it day-after-day. During the time that she worked for me, she exhibited an impressive ability to adapt to the rapid pace of my startup, where priorities would change on a dime. I could always count on her organization and tenacity in pursuing projects, which is a rare skill among marketers, placing her at the top of her field. Mollie did a lot here: digital design, online marketing, social, site design, product UX, adaptive email communications, and so forth, covering all of the marketing needs of my SaaS startup activities. With Mollie’s departure I am losing an incredibly capable member of my team; not easily replaced. She is experienced and effective directing marketing activities and I recommend her highly for that role in your company.”

What are the best methods for ensuring UX research validity and reliability with small sample sizes?
In addition, it's vital to recognize that socializing research is fundamental in earning stakeholder trust and approval. Consistently sharing key insights with your teams and stakeholders keeps them informed and involved. Establishing a routine of disseminating these insights regularly fosters a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. Furthermore, compiling a comprehensive quarterly research report encompassing all findings reinforces the insights and learnings gathered during the period. This practice not only ensures that the findings are well-documented and easy to reference but also helps in tracking the evolution of user experiences and preferences over time.

How can you avoid conflicts with your managers as a User Experience Design (UED) professional?
In conflicts with your manager, use empathy as you do for users. Understand their challenges and motivations by putting yourself in their shoes. This isn't just about resolving issues but about nurturing a collaborative, empathetic workplace. Empathy not only tackles immediate problems but also enhances the overall environment. Just like in product design, where the aim is harmonious, user-centric solutions, apply this principle in dealings with management. An empathetic approach leads to effective conflict resolution and strengthens your relationship with your manager.

How can students network with UX professionals?
Research the attendees before attending any networking event, meetup, workshop, or conference. Get to know who they are and their expertise. Select who you would definitively want to speak with and prepare questions that align with their specialties. The more you can start a conversation organized, the further it will go, and the more you will unlock with each individual. While networking can seem intimidating, remember that every person you speak with was in your shoes at one point. Because of this, people are more open than you may think and genuinely willing to help curious students.
