West Baltimore Primary Care Access Initiative is intended to be a comprehensive quantitative needs assessment of Primary Care in the West Baltimore community – looking at the demand and availability of primary care services, and identifying gaps that should be addressed in future service delivery planning. The study takes into account projected demands that will result from the passage of the Affordable Care Act and the anticipated expansion of coverage to residents in 2014. This project is…
West Baltimore Primary Care Access Initiative is intended to be a comprehensive quantitative needs assessment of Primary Care in the West Baltimore community – looking at the demand and availability of primary care services, and identifying gaps that should be addressed in future service delivery planning. The study takes into account projected demands that will result from the passage of the Affordable Care Act and the anticipated expansion of coverage to residents in 2014. This project is being viewed as a national model for health access planning because it incorporates community residents, community advocates, hospitals, health centers, legislators and foundations. Target date of completion is March, 2012.
