Lunch with Leadership is a gathering for a small group of employees from different departments to cross-pollinate and converse about one another’s backgrounds and career paths in a casual setting.   Last month's session was led by Mark Smith, Managing Director of Property Management & Operations. Mark shared his inspiring story of persistence when starting his career at RM Bradley. He also provided practical knowledge such as honing the powerful skill of “reading the room”. Mark closed by highlighting his strategies for success, including the importance of taking a pause and recognizing when to take time for oneself. Davis was pleased to host Paul Chen and Juan Medina from Buckingham Browne & Nichols School for their senior spring project. Paul and Juan worked with the Investments/Acquisitions team’s from March through May primarily working with VP, Investments Rachel Edwards.   Through their two-month internship, Paul and Juan learned technical skills, researched properties for multifamily conversion, analyzed potential deals by calculating return on costs and yields on pref, evaluated comps, and gained a broad understanding of the commercial real estate acquisition process along with the various micro and macro factors that affect each deal and the industry sector more widely. Thank you Paul and Juan for joining us during your spring term and best wishes to you.  #DavisIntern #ProfessionalDevelopment #Mentorship
