He also provided practical knowledge such as honing the powerful skill of “reading the room”. Davis was pleased to host Paul Chen and Juan Medina from Buckingham Browne & Nichols School for their senior spring project. Paul and Juan worked with the Investments/Acquisitions team’s from March through May primarily working with VP, Investments Rachel Edwards. Through their two-month internship, Paul and Juan learned technical skills, researched properties for multifamily conversion, analyzed potential deals by calculating return on costs and yields on pref, evaluated comps, and gained a broad understanding of the commercial real estate acquisition process along with the various micro and macro factors that affect each deal and the industry sector more widely.
