Lunch with Leadership is a gathering for a small group of employees from different departments to cross-pollinate and converse about one another’s backgrounds and career paths in a casual setting. Last month's session was led by Mark Smith, Managing Director of Property Management & Operations. Mark shared his inspiring story of persistence when starting his career at RM Bradley. He also provided practical knowledge such as honing the powerful skill of “reading the room”. Mark closed by highlighting his strategies for success, including the importance of taking a pause and recognizing when to take time for oneself. He stressed that people always come first and emphasized having a team, as it's impossible to do everything alone. #LunchWithLeadership #CareerDevelopment

Cross-functional leadership alignment, collaboration and transparency is instrumental for success!
A #great week spent in New Jersey with the GN&T leadership #team where we discussed strategy, synced up on #business priorities and shared #best practices. The most valuable part for me was being #together in person and #learning from each other. Alignment and #communication from top down is key, and an integral part of my #leadership style, to ensure all members of my team are on the same page and clear on our #focus and #goals. We have a lot of objectives but the most #important #investment that we as #leaders make, is the one with our frontline #employees - it’s the #best, most rewarding one! #iamvz #teamwork #collaboration #Verizon #excellence #technology #wireless #communications #leadershipexcellence #bestteam

To start off National Compassionate Leadership Week, we asked our Managing Partner, Cliff Roberts, what it means to him. "Compassionate leadership to me means spending your energy to be present for your team, while being thoughtful in how you approach them. This style of leadership is not easy, nor does it equate to being an "easy boss". It is quite the opposite. I believe management is always a support role and I think managers often forget that. I also believe: - An employee who feels supported will be much more productive. - An employee who feels heard will be much more accountable. - An employee who feels happy will help drive a positive company culture of collaboration, which then drives efficiency through the roof." We are grateful to have Cliff's example of compassionate leadership here at NavNet, and send out a pat-on-the-back to all of you compassionate leaders out there!

Leadership and company culture go hand-in-hand. Building and maintaining a positive company culture requires input and buy-in from everyone at a company, and the only way to create the buy-in is through inclusive leadership initiatives that lead by example. The best leaders consistently communicate and reinforce company values by regularly demonstrating them in day-to-day activities and interactions. Employees more easily embrace company culture If they see it maintained daily.

Last night's Super Bowl was not only a showcase of athleticism and strategy but also a masterclass in setting standards for excellence. Watching the game, one couldn't help but reflect on the importance of establishing high standards not just for ourselves but for our teams, our cultures, and the people around us. The Kansas City Chiefs exemplified this notion brilliantly, demonstrating how a commitment to excellence can elevate performance and drive success. Patrick Mahomes, in his postgame interview, emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards both on and off the field. As professionals, setting standards is not just about achieving individual success, but about fostering a culture of excellence within our organizations. It's about challenging ourselves and those around us to continuously strive for improvement and to never settle for mediocrity. In a world where competition is fierce and expectations are constantly evolving, setting high standards becomes a cornerstone of sustainable success. It's about raising the bar, pushing boundaries, and inspiring others to do the same. Let's take a page from the Chiefs' playbook and commit ourselves to setting and upholding standards of excellence in everything we do. By doing so, we not only elevate our own performance but also create an environment where greatness becomes the norm. #SuperBowl #StandardsOfExcellence #Leadership #TeamCulture #MondayMotivation
