Last week, the Raleigh, North Carolina, Chamber of Commerce visited Atlanta to learn from a panel discussion hosted by our DEI team. The 175 chamber members (including the mayor, city council, and several chamber of commerce members) sought to understand how they could advance equitable treatment, support inclusivity-seeking organizations, and experience a Center dedicated to creating more equitable environments. The panel featured Al Vivian, President of Basic Diversity; Phil Polk, DEI Lead at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights; Nancy Johnson, President of the Atlanta chapter of the National Urban League; and Doug Shipman, President of Atlanta City Council. The panelist discussed the topic, "Atlanta: A city too busy to hate," and dove deep into how organizations can work together to model inclusion and partnership. #FeelThePower #DEIatNCCHR #DEI #ChamberofCommerce
