Congratulations to our friends in BBDO PAKISTAN for a spectacular run over the last 10 years.
10 years ago this month, BBDO Pakistan made history at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. It was the first time Pakistan had won a Lion at the world's most prestigious creative award show, for "Not A Bug Splat." The rise onwards was fast: only a year later, BBDO Pakistan brought home the first Gold Lion won by Pakistan, pictured below, when the national flag was held up on the Palais stage by Ali Rez and Assam Khalid. Since then, BBDO Pakistan has continued to consistently remain the country's most awarded agency, and has brought to the nation many of its firsts: the first Clio, the first Spike, the first One Show pencil, the first D&AD pencil, amongst many others. 2014 marked a distinct new era in Pakistan's advertising history, one that inspired hundreds of creatives in the country to believe that winning on the world's biggest stages was possible. Ten years later, in 2024, BBDO Pakistan is proud to not only have sent the country's first jury member to Cannes Lion, but also to bring home the nation's first Grand Prix for Good. That’s a wrap for Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 🦁 In the end BBDO took home 49 total Lions: 2 Grand Prix, 1 Grand Prix For Good, 4 Gold, 12 Silver, 29 Bronze, 1 Bronze Campaign and 103 shortlists. Regionally, we saw standout performances from every corner of our network. AlmapBBDO won 16 Lions, including the Grand Prix in Entertainment Lions For Music, BBDO New York took home 8 Lions, IMPACT BBDO won 6 Lions including the Grand Prix for Good, and Colenso BBDO earned 5 lions including the Grand Prix in Outdoor. All of these contributed to BBDO ranking #1 Regional Network Of The Year in the MENA and Pacific Regions. Congratulations to all, until next year. 🏆🏆

IMPACT BBDO has been named the 2024 Regional Network of the Year for the Middle East and North Africa at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity - the 7th year in a row that we have led the regional rankings at this most prestigious of shows. We bring home a good pride of Lions: 7 in all. A Grand Prix - our fourth in five years, a Gold, two Silvers, three Bronzes and several shortlists. These go across offices in 5 markets, and represent 6 different brand partners. The Grand Prix is the only one this year for the region, as is the Lion in Film for Cairo. We are also proud to have repeated a Lion in the Glass category. We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Alain Khouri, the visionary founder of Impact BBDO. Alain launched the agency in 1971 with a dream to revolutionize the advertising industry. Over the next four decades, his unwavering commitment to excellence established a legacy that has shaped Impact BBDO into the leading regional marketing communications group.
