Google 槓上港府:需要證據證明《願榮光歸香港》是非法的,否則不會下架
香港政府近日要求 Google 在 YouTube 下架《願榮光歸香港》一曲的多個版本,Google 表示,需要有證據證明《願榮光歸香港》是違反當地法律的,並且需要有法院命令,否則不會下架這首歌。香港創新科技及工業局局長孫東指出,將來會以法律手段解決。孫東還指,Google 對於港府要求置頂正確香港國歌一事「反應激烈」,並對此提議有強烈的反彈。
事件起因
《願榮光歸香港》(Glory to Hong Kong)是 2019 年香港爆發反送中運動時的代表性歌曲。在 2022 年一次國際體育賽事中,主辦方將這首歌作為香港國歌播放,遭到港府強烈抗議,隨後在其他體育賽事上也發生過類似事件。
同年,有使用者指出在 Google 搜尋「香港國歌」時最前列的結果就是《願榮光歸香港》而非中國國歌《義勇軍進行曲》(目前也是),自那時起港府便多次對 Google 提出移除《願榮光歸香港》一曲、將「正確國歌」放上搜尋結果並且置頂的要求,而 Google 則多次拒絕。
傳出 Google 可能退出香港市場?
Google 在去年 12 月回應港府,該公司不會人為操控網路自然排名,也不會刪除網路結果。Google 多次拒絕港府要求,也被視為是該公司拒絕配合中國官方網路言論審查、人為操控輿論的作法。
目前,Google 仍就此事與港府僵持不下。全球最大風險諮詢公司歐亞集團(Eruaasia Group)專門研究地緣政治和技術的董事 Xiaomeng Lu 分析,中國當局正加快審查制度的滲透速度,對西方大型科技巨擘施加壓力、要求他們配合中國當局政策,最終可能迫使這些企業選擇撤離市場,「就像 Google 在 2010 年將搜尋引擎撤出中國市場一樣。」
矽谷企業大多配合中國審查要求
當然,除了 Google 之外,像是蘋果(Apple)、Spotify 等網路音樂平台也接收到了同樣的要求,並配合歌曲禁制令下架了《願榮光歸香港》的大部分版本。Meta 的 Instagram Reels 也無法播放。
「中國式審查」近年來深入香港,2021 年時,Disney+ 就刪除了《辛普森家庭》的其中一集,該集內容講述主角一家造訪中國,場景來到天安門廣場時,告示牌上寫著「這裡什麼事都沒發生」。今年 2 月,又有一集《辛普森家庭》在香港遭到刪除,因為內容提及了「勞改營」。
此外,蘋果「鐫刻服務」也被加拿大多倫多大學公民實驗室發現,在中國的被禁字眼已滲透至香港,甚至是台灣。包括數字「8964」、人物「習近平」、「毛澤東」、宗教團體「法輪功」等都會被蘋果審查,而這樣的審查已遠遠超出了蘋果在香港的法律義務。
近日有人因《願榮光》被判「侮辱國歌」
本月 5 日,一名 27 歲男子被指控將一次體育賽事中的頒獎片段中的中國國歌改成《願榮光歸香港》後再上傳 YouTube 是「侮辱國歌」、「有損國家象徵及尊嚴」,並被裁定罪名成立。
