Sense and Sensibility is loved by so many people that I though I would be the same, but I was wrong. I don't know why I can't connect to it and I am kind of mad at myself for it, thus I am not giving it a rating. It´s such a disappointment for me since Pride and Prejudice is amongst my favorite books of all time....more
I couldn't finish it, it drags on and on and on and on and on. I kept forcing myself to continue but I couldn't stand it any longer, it was unbearably tedious, so I finally gave up somewhere during chapter 10. Outlander is incredibly slow and BORING, wow was it boring!, I couldn’t manage to rise even the slightest interest for it due to all the endless rambling. I seriously think that finishing this enormous book has to be up there with the 100 worst tortures ever invented. Soporific really, to put it mildly, so yeah…no, I did not like it one bit.

I have no idea why I did it, but I gave the Outlander TV series a try and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I quite liked the show, it was pretty loyal to what I had read of the book, story wise, and yet it didn't put me to sleep. I do recommend the TV series, it is a really good show. Thus, this is one of those rare and sad occasions where the television beats a book....more
