This gorgeous blue phlox is just ready to open. There's just something about blue flowers. (Right WC?)
A Blue Angelfish finally cooperated and let me get a good photo after numerous failed attempts - Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico

I am always thrilled when I see this species, which unfortunately is not often enough. It is now considered a _Passerina_ bunting though its obviously larger with a larger bill. But it is entirely fitting since this bird can hold its own in beauty against the other _Passerina_ buntings, the group of the most colorful birds in North America. Its been a photographic nemesis thus glad to get these record shots during a rest stop on I-5 on the way back from Southern California.
Many years ago, I was a Caribbean "expert" correspondent for a travel magazine that focused on couples and romantic travel. It was very hard work, let me tell you, being wined and dined by rapacious public relations staff who wanted free advertorial. All they would do all day was kiss your big Cuban ass and fulfill your every wish, including free massages. OMG, it was horrible struggle to drink a Corona at midday and take this photograph. Even more difficult was the challenge of wading in the gorgeous Caribbean sea without a care in my mind. My life was hard, hard! Oy vay!
Seriously, Blue Waters is a lovely little property. Not my top favorite for a romantic rendezvous, but who can resist that gazebo? Perfect for a wedding (if only weddings weren't so annoying!), an intimate chat, a smooch or just holding hands quietly and looking out at the sea or maybe reading a book together, in silence.
At the time of my work for the magazine, I had just ended a 6 year relationship, so I was traveling alone. That was the running joke -- the romance writer not being able to "test the waters," heh heh ... oh well, who cares? I had an amazing opportunity to travel at no cost for minimal work.
My room here was located on the rocky promontory that is adjacent to this jetty. At night, the Caribbean sea would lull me to sleep. I slept on the balcony, not minding the ocean spray. There is nothing more energizing or inspiring than this sea. It takes you to amazing places in the imagination.
It is also not a bad place to make love ... if you can test the waters. :-)
Bedfordshire.
Our smallest resident Butterfly, hence it's Latin name. I found a small colony and spent a few hours trying to get some reasonable photos.
Ghazi Nara is a scenic and tourist hillside settlement near Jhelum City in the Punjab province of Pakistan approximately 15 km from Dina and 10 km from Khukha.
Clearly visible from the Grand Trunk Road and across from the Taraki railway station, Ghazi Nara is the site of a natural spring and the main drinking water source for the surrounding residents.
The area is also a popular religious site as the nearby darbar is reputed to answer prayers from couples having difficulties conceiving children.
