"As a Junior Professional at EFTA you get both responsibility and flexibility in terms of work tasks. This makes it possible to actively shape your experience, and make the most out of it. I especially enjoyed working closely with experts from the Member States, who provide insights into the various substance areas."

"My EFTA journey started back in 2017 when I joined as a Junior Professional in the Internal Market Division (then called Goods Division) before going to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland. After a few months of being back in Iceland, I got the opportunity to return to Brussels to rejoin EFTA as a Temporary Officer in the Policy team in the EEA Coordination Division. Currently, I am Acting Head of Legal Coordination in the EEA Coordination Division, as well as Chair of our Gender Equality Group. What I really enjoy about EFTA is the camaraderie between staff. It really is unique to be working with like-minded people that all left their home countries to live and work abroad. I definitely recommend working at EFTA!"

"Participating in the Junior Professional Programme was an invaluable experience for me. The hands-on training provided me with the skills and confidence needed to kickstart my career and I am delighted to be part of the EFTA secretariat still today. I highly recommend this program to any aspiring young professionals looking to gain practical knowledge and excel in their chosen field."
