ExxonMobil Fife raises funds in ‘cross-continent’ cycle challenge 🚴 🌍 More than forty employees from Fife Ethylene Plant (FEP) have saddled up for a 1,428-mile virtual cycle challenge, raising £2,000 for local not-for-profit group, Meedies Bike Club. 🏁 The FEP Chain Reaction Challenge, led by the site’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Group, saw employees take turns cycling the distance from the Fife plant to the iconic Circuit de Monaco, home of the Monaco Grand Prix. Divided into three legs, the journey “stopped” at a number of ExxonMobil sites, including ExxonMobil Fawley in Hampshire. 👏 Run by a dedicated volunteer group of local riders, the club holds a unified mission, to promote cycling as a healthy and fun pursuit, as well as supporting children aged 4-18 in accessing bicycles, learning bike safety, and improving mental health through cycling. A warm Scottish welcome awaited Janet Matsushita, ExxonMobil Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Erik van Beek, Europe Regional Director, when they visited FEP. For our team, this was an opportunity to showcase their hard work that is moving the site forward and shaping a safe, reliable and profitable future. The visit was rounded off by a lively employee forum where Janet and Erik shared their personal insights on subjects ranging from the energy transition to careers, leadership and the strength of a diverse team. 🏃♂️💨 A marathon effort for mental health. In a display of incredible teamwork and dedication, colleagues from ExxonMobil Fife took on the challenge of running over 20 miles from FEP to the bustling heart of Edinburgh. This remarkable journey was embarked upon with a noble cause in mind, to support and raise money for Change Mental Health, a vital charity that provides invaluable early information and assistance to those in Fife dealing with mental health issues. Crossing the iconic Forth Road Bridge, our team not only covered miles but also bridged the gap in mental health awareness, embodying FEP’s commitment to community support and charitable endeavours. 👏 After conquering such an impressive distance, the team rightfully enjoyed a well-deserved drink in Edinburgh, celebrating their significant achievement and their impactful contribution. Slàinte Mhath! #TeamFEP #MentalHealthAwareness

We welcomed the opportunity to share our vision for the potential of lower emissions technology at Fife Ethylene Plant with The Scottish Government Energy Minister, Gillian Martin, during her first visit to Mossmorran. At ExxonMobil we have the infrastructure as well as proven capabilities and skills to deliver solutions that could not only support a sustainable future for our Fife site and those who work here, but also directly contribute to the country’s ambitions for net zero. We are committed to working collaboratively with government to advance our plans for both carbon capture and storage and hydrogen production, on a potential scale that could help to kick-start a hydrogen economy in Scotland. #hydrogen #ccs The Acorn Project Scottish Cluster

The safety of our team will always be our priority, so we are proud to be one of the first ExxonMobil sites to introduce our new Personnel Safety Management System for over 500 personnel here at Fife Ethylene Plant. #safety
ExxonMobil is committed to safeguarding the security and health of our employees, those involved with our operations, our customers and the public, and is currently working to implement an updated Personnel Safety Management System (PSMS) at its operational sites. In Belgium, this updated safety system has already been rolled out at our Antwerp and Meerhout Polymers Plants (AMPP) and will be coming to the Antwerp Refinery later this year. Elsewhere in Europe, PSMS is also being implemented in other sites like our ExxonMobil Fife Ethylene Plant, which played a key role as one of our first pilots in the region. PSMS was fully introduced at FEP at the start of this year for all ExxonMobil employees and contractor staff. Proud of the team’s work! PSMS is part of our Nobody Gets Hurt principle and is designed to help reduce or eliminate life-changing injuries and deliver industry-leading workforce safety performance along the way. PSMS uses the concept that safety is based on the presence of effective safeguards and not just the absence of incidents. Encouraging to see workplace safety so high up our priorities list! 👉 Read more about how we approach personnel safety at our sites: https://lnkd.in/eeJpCYPM #Safety
