It was a beautiful morning for some "Yahoos" and "Yeehaws" at our annual Calgary Stampede breakfast today at campus! Our employees, contractors, and their families came together for a morning of pancakes, toe-tappin' music, and face painting for the kids. Thank you to everyone who saddled up and joined us! 🤠

Last week, our Nanticoke Refinery Manager, Jody Grant, had the privilege of awarding Mike Shoreman with the Great Lakes Changemaker Award at the Great Lakes Sustainable Growth Forum dinner hosted by the Council of the Great Lakes Region and the Toronto Region Board of Trade. Mike's story is one of incredible resilience and determination as he is the first person with disabilities to cross all five Great Lakes on a paddle board. We are proud to be a part of recognizing Mike for his work advocating for the Great Lakes and mental health awareness. Congratulations, Mike, on your inspiring achievements!

The bike rubber met the road this past weekend when the Mobil 1 Team completed the 2024 MS Canada Bike from Airdrie to Olds, AB. The 32-member strong team crossed the finish line receiving two honours this year, having been the top fundraising team with over $73,000 (an annual fundraising record for the team)! Additionally, the team received an award for most funds raised at this event over the last 30 years with over $780,000 raised. “While I'm proud of all of the Mobil 1 Team's accomplishments, the part that warms my heart the most is that the money raised is going to fund desperately needed research that will, hopefully one day, put an end to MS!" – Kevin Jamieson, Mobil 1 team member

Today we mark National Indigenous Peoples Day as a celebration of the richness and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis culture and heritage. With the help of our Indigenous Network Employee Resource Group, we have had the privilege of hosting events across our operations this month designed to showcase Indigenous history, artistry, and traditions. On Thursday, our Indigenous Network Lead, Amanda Vermillion, had the opportunity to greet Keevin Rider of Rider Native Art Gallery and view these incredible works of art that were available at the Indigenous Market held at our Calgary campus. #NIPD2024 #NIHM2024
