So excited to announce PLANTMADE has been named as one of the 100 fastest growing businesses in the UK. I started Plantmade with £100 in my mum’s kitchen 4 years ago without a goal just a passion for plant powered wellness products. I’m so grateful to be included amongst some of not only the biggest and best brands in the UK but some of my favourites as well. Waking up this morning to see us placed within the top 30 in the country really puts into perspective just how far myself and my amazing team have come. I love business — even though it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. To anyone who’s building anything, just keep going, keep pushing we’re all going to make it. We are PLANTMADE 🌱 In the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, our founder Ama Amo-Agyei was dealing with her own hair problems. For years she tried different products and brands desperately searching for something that would work for her. After trying basically everything she could find, with no real luck, she decided to make her own product. Here's the gag, Ama had tried lots of harsh prescriptions and chemical treatments for various issues in the past to no avail, so there was only one way to go. The product had to be, effective and have no hidden side effects. She spent £100 on her first batch of ingredients and got to mixing and... ... It worked. Because it worked people loved it and that was how 'Planted' was born. 3 and a half years later we have new name, a dozen new products but the same mission. We're taking on the big players, making products that work are free from junk and defying all odds in the process.
