Don’t get us wrong, it is always good to have a platform for organisations to share their stories and experiences of adopting sustainable practices to help the planet, and World Environment Day provides a good reminder for companies that may not be on that journey yet. But we shouldn’t wait a year to share these stories, they should be part of everyday communications, both internally and externally. Our number one tip at AdGreen when people ask us how to incorporate sustainable production into their organisation, is to put sustainability on the agenda of EVERY meeting. 💡 Make it part of your day-to-day thinking 💡 Challenge your traditional approach 💡 Include everyone in the conversation And don’t be afraid to hold your hands up when you get it wrong, because it is probably going to happen to all of us at some point. Use this opportunity to plan the next 12 months of sustainability communications, and understand how you can share your journey to inspire and inform others. Which actions have the highest carbon impact on a production? 📊 From analysing data from 1424 projects in 2023, we can see that it is usually travel and transport, which makes up 72% of all emissions. 🚗 This follows across the subsets we looked at, but it is clear that an increase budget often equals an increased percentage of carbon emissions resulting from travel.
