“Privacy notices on apps, do we have to read them?” We work in data protection, and we think so. Many of us use health tracker apps on our phones or smart watches. They have changed the way we look after ourselves. But some of the personal information the apps collect is extremely sensitive. Our poll showed that transparency and security of personal information were the biggest concerns to users of period or fertility tracking apps. We have some tips to help you keep your personal information secure. Share them with your friends and family and encourage them to check the app privacy notices before they sign up: https://lnkd.in/ei_kYVCG You’re in control, so don’t press ‘agree’ unless you do.

It can reveal information about an individual and their family members, including about their health, ethnicity, and biological relationships. This makes public trust in these services essential. If your MP has changed, you might have questions about how your casework will now be handled. We’ve outlined the steps any new MPs will be taking over the next few days: 👉 Any MP who stepped down, was not re-elected, or whose constituency boundary has changed, will now be managing the transfer of all of their constituents’ casework and data. 👉If you have an ongoing or recent case with your current MP, they may contact you to ask for your consent to share your data with your new MP. You should be aware that if you do not grant this consent, the data or casework may be deleted.
