Dirk Haensch, our Global Advanced Materials Manager, took the stage as a keynote speaker in the Rethinking Materials conference in London, uniting over 300 pioneers in materials innovation for consumer goods. We were honored to join the panel on “Achieving Recyclability: Advances in Technology for True Circularity,” led by Efrat Friedland from materialscout. The discussion highlighted innovations in recycling, challenges in the petrochemical industry, and opportunities to develop advanced polymers. At the roundtable on “Achieving Recyclability Through Materials Innovation,” engineers and designers, shared their need for recyclable shoe midsoles—a challenge we are addressing. The event was a testament to how global leaders and investors in plastics, packaging, fashion, beauty, and automotive are collaborating to drive meaningful change. Em parceria com a Central Única das Favelas (CUFA), o Programa de Voluntariado interno da Braskem está arrecadando doações para a compra e distribuição de colchões, lençóis, cobertores e roupas para pessoas das comunidades de Nova Santa Rita, Triunfo e Montenegro. Braskem’s initiatives for more sustainability in the plastics industry have truly arrived in Asia! We are incredibly proud to see how our Braskem Polymer Team Asia made an impact at the #ChinaPlas in Shanghai! In China, and along with it a number of economies in Southeast Asia, interest in alternative and sustainable solutions that contribute towards the nations Carbon Zero goals is growing as well as efforts to expand the recycling loop. Braskem has brought to Asia our I’m green™ bio-based PE, a carbon negative polyethylene, and our circular initiatives under the brand Wenew to support turn the interest into adoption of sustainable solutions that contribute towards the nations’ Carbon Zero goals. A great event where we were able to forge and deepen valuable connections with the 72 attendants! A big thank you for the team making our appearance possible!

The Braskem team in Rotterdam completed another successful edition of the Rotterdam Marathon, which not only benefited the cardio health of our participants but also people and families in need! For every kilometer ran by the team members, Braskem will donate a kilogram of food items. As a human-oriented company we trust in people and this event enabled us to strengthen the team bond and fulfilled our purpose to contribute to a bigger goal which is giving back to the community of Rotterdam.
