We are proud that our hybrid bonding all-rounder XBC300 Gen2 D2W/W2W is to be added to fab equipment capabilities inside the Center of Neovation in Florida. The Center for Neovation is a 109,000-square-foot microelectronics fabrication facility operated by SkyWater Technology within the framework of a public-private partnership with Osceola County and BRIDG. The facility is designed to be flexible and adaptable with opportunities to accommodate a variety of partner-funded semiconductor manufacturing research and development activities. Leveraged by our partnership with BRIDG, a not-for-profit, public-private partnership specializing in advanced system integration and packaging of next-generation microelectronics production process technologies, we have been able to use the Center of Neovation as a production-level application center since 2019. This partnership provides the Center of Neovation with state-of-the-art equipment ranging from advanced lithography and nano-imprinting to temporary bonding, debonding and permanent bonding while granting our North American customers access to breakthrough innovations. Chasing awards: Is it worth the effort? ⤵️ Investor relations teams put in long hours building relationships with investors. And that has paid off. 🏆 Our IR team at SÜSS MicroTec recently brought home a nice trophy from the annual conference of the German Investor Relations Association (DIRK – Deutscher Investor Relations Verband). We were awarded 3rd place in the category "Best IR work in the SDAX".  It is an honour to be recognised for this work. Our IR experts Sven Köpsel and Franka Schielke were thrilled - as was the rest of the SÜSS MicroTec team. Thanks to all the investors and analysts who voted for our team. ➡️ But we didn't get into investor relations for the trophies. We do it to build trust and transparency with shareholders. Awards are just icing on the cake. The real reward is knowing we helped our investors make informed decisions.  Our conclusion: While awards can be motivating, they shouldn't be the goal.  The goal is serving investors through open communication and accessibility. Can you believe it's been 75 years since SÜSS MicroTec opened its doors? What started as a small family business has developed into a leading company in the semiconductor industry. Through decades of innovation and continuous hard work, SÜSS MicroTec has made tremendous progress while remaining true to its roots. To mark the anniversary, we recently organized festive celebrations at both our Garching and Sternenfels sites. Both events were joyful family gatherings for employees, their partners and children - fitting for a company that began as a family business. Highlights included delicious food and drinks from the festival's food trucks, live bands spreading good vibes and fun activities such as bouncy castles to keep the children entertained. Despite a few rain showers in Garching, the atmosphere remained great.  The sunshine in Sternenfels made for a relaxed outdoor get-together. In speeches at both locations, CEO Burkhardt Frick particularly emphasized that SÜSS MicroTec owes its success to generations of talented and hard-working employees. With these two celebrations, we wanted to combine the appreciation of the past with the anticipation of the future. Last Friday, we started our 75-year anniversary celebration in our headquarter in Garching near Munich. 🥳 In his opening speech, our CEO Burkhardt Frick recognized the achievements of all employees: "Without you, we would not be celebrating this anniversary."    In addition, some guests of honor were also there to celebrate with the SÜSS MicroTec team: ➡️ Dr. Winfried Süss, son of the company founder and long-standing Managing Director and later Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SÜSS MicroTec. In his speech, he reminisced about the early days. "The hard work, ingenuity and commitment of the employees have made the company what it is today." ➡️ Dr. Florian Herrmann, Head of the Bavarian State Chancellery and State Minister of Federal, and European and Media Affairs. In his speech, he described SÜSS MicroTec as the "flagship of the Bavarian high-tech industry" and a "role model for technological and industrial development in Bavaria". ➡️ Dr. Dietmar Gruchmann, 1st Mayor of Garching, mentioned that it was a matter of course for him to join our 75-year anniversary celebration.   ➡️ We also had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Ian-Tsing Joseph Dieu, General Director of the Taipei Representation in Munich, to our party. In his speech, he emphasized the strong connection between Taiwan and Bavaria which is why SÜSS MicroTec could be sure that Taiwan will remain a reliable partner in the future. 75 years of SÜSS MicroTec - a reason to celebrate! 🎉 This year we can look back on a remarkable company history that began 75 years ago in Munich. Back then, Karl Süss laid the foundation for our company with a sales office for microscopes, cameras and laboratory equipment. Since then, SÜSS MicroTec has developed into a leading supplier of equipment and process solutions for the semiconductor industry and related markets. Our innovative strength and pioneering spirit have made us successful over the years. To celebrate this anniversary in a fitting manner, we are currently preparing two parties for our employees at our headquarters in Garching near Munich and at our second German site in Sternenfels near Pforzheim. Let's talk about the connection between SÜSS MicroTec and Siemens. Siemens was the first important customer for what is now our core semiconductor equipment business. In 1962, we were asked to jointly produce a thermo-compression bonding machine for transistors. The first order was for small measuring tables with stereo microscopes that are bonded together. In 1963, we then built the prototype of the first mask aligner MJB3 for Siemens. Remarkably, mask aligners are still part of our portfolio today. To reconnect, Norbert Gaus, EVP Research and Predevelopment at Siemens, recently visited us. In our Training Center, Burkhardt Frick and Robert Wanninger not only presented him a historical mask aligner, but also the current portfolio of imaging, coating and bonding systems for the world's most important semiconductor manufacturers. Congratulations: Dr. Winfried Süss celebrates his 90th birthday. 🎈 Today Dr. Winfried Süss, son of our company founder Karl Süss and long-standing Managing Director and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SÜSS MicroTec, turns 90. Shortly before his milestone birthday, Burkhardt Frick, CEO of SÜSS MicroTec, and Dr. David Dean, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SÜSS MicroTec, visited Dr. Winfried Süss at home. ⤵️ Wearing a light blue shirt, blue checked jacket and a smile, Dr. Winfried Süss opens the door when the doorbell rings. The table in the dining room is set for coffee and cake. Memorabilia and documents from the past, including the brochure celebrating the company's 50th anniversary in 1999, lie on the table. 🔵 For Dr. Winfried Süss, the visit is a trip down memory lane, back to the time when his father and later he and his older brother Ekkehard ran the Karl Süss company together. 🔵 For Burkhardt Frick and Dr. David Dean, on the other hand, it is a matter of course to pay a visit to the long-standing Managing Director and Chairman of the Supervisory Board shortly before his 90th birthday. The relocation from Munich city center to Garching, the expansion to America, successful and less successful product developments, the death of his brother and father, the handover of his CEO position and the assumption of the new post as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, the IPO in 1999 and the retirement in 2008 at the age of 74 – Dr. Süss brought the past to life during this visit. The opportunity to meet Dr. Winfried Süss and hear his stories first-hand was both exciting and inspiring for Burkhardt Frick and Dr. David Dean.
