Oldtown Woods is the development that just keeps giving. To date there have been launches that have included houses, then apartments and duplexes, and now, for those who missed out on the earlier rounds, there is a limited number of three-bed properties.

Located on the Shackleton Road in Celbridge, the scheme has been very popular with young families, couples and older buyers who are downsizing but want to stay close to the grandchildren who are living close by in the area.

Built by the O’Flynn Group, Oldtown Woods was first launched onto the market in late 2020.

It has been designed by the team at Hogan Architecture, who not only made sure the interiors feel spacious and bright with high ceilings and extra storage options, but there is also a big emphasis on the outdoor spaces in the well-landscaped scheme.

There is a linear park to the west with a selection of pocket parks dotted throughout the development to ensure all residents are close to a safe, green space. Some have playgrounds for the younger kids and there is also a community orchard.

Currently on offer are three-bed, mid-terrace houses that are priced from €450,000 and three-bed, semi-detached properties starting at €475,000.

The price makes both types eligible for the Help-To-Buy scheme, where first-time buyers can claim a tax rebate of up to €30,000 of the purchase price of a newly built home.

All houses are A-rated and come with underfloor heating on the ground floor, an A-class air source heat pump and thermostatically controlled radiators. They are fitted with contemporary shaker-style kitchens and include all appliances, provided contracts are signed within 21 days.

There is a utility area in each house, and ensuite bathrooms have a walk-in pressurised shower. There is space for two cars in the paved driveway of the three-bed houses, and the back garden will be levelled and seeded, and include a patio area.

For those seeking a smaller home, there is one two-bed apartment still available that is priced at €330,000 and a two-bed duplex with a garden for €350,000.

Another launch is due early next year that will include two-bed apartments, two-bed duplexes and more three-bed houses. When complete, there will be a total of 251 properties at Oldtown.

There’s an open viewing tomorrow (Saturday, November 19) from 12.30pm to 1.30pm with joint agents Lisney New Homes (01) 638 2704 and Coonan New Homes (01) 628 8400.
