Georgia was born and raised in the peanut capital of the world, Dothan, Alabama, and if asked, she will tell you all you need to know about her hometown’s peanut-themed festival.
Growing up, Georgia was active in pageants, which helped strengthen her public speaking skills and on-camera presence.
After winning the title of Miss Teen International in 2018, she moved to Troy, Alabama, to attend Troy University.
Initially, she worked toward a career in politics. During her senior year she took an interviewing course taught by a seasoned Alabama broadcaster who mentored her and helped cultivate her passion for journalism.
For the next year, Georgia worked as a reporter and anchor at the on-campus news station, TROY TrojanVision News, wrote for the campus newspaper, The Tropolitan, and immersed herself in Troy’s journalism department.
Georgia graduated from Troy with a degree in political science in December 2022, then moved to Huntsville to start her broadcast career here at WAAY 31! She is thrilled to be here in the Rocket City and looks forward to bringing you Coverage You Can Count On!
