* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

This afternoon, high temperatures will rise to the low 90s. A cold front is going to swing through the Valley brining not only cooler air but also scattered rain and storms. The severe weather threat is low but not zero over the next few hours.

Slightly cooler air comes into the region tomorrow, dropping high temperatures to the upper 80s. We'll keep mostly sunny skies tomorrow, and  through the remainder of the week and into the weekend, as well. The humidity will also be lower through the weekend.  

High temperatures soar to nearly 100 this weekend and to start off next work-week.
