My husband and I stayed there from May 26th to June 2nd. It was a trip for our 35th wedding anniversary!
This is a very beautiful resort and the staff are very friendly and hard working!! They do their best to make your stay enjoyable!!
Air Canada was offering a free upgrade to sea view and we were not disappointed!! Our room (room 5115) was very nice and clean with a beautiful view! We even watched dolphins in the ocean right from our balcony!!
The food at the buffet wasn’t the greatest but it was off season and maybe some shortages. At breakfast time we always had eggs, bacon, omelettes, etc. Lunch and dinner was not the greatest. Although there was always lots of pasta and there was pizza. The sandwiches and fries were good at the snack bar by the pool! There was not a great variety and very repetitive the whole week! There was not really any vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc even to make a salad. The little churros stand was only open for a limited time on the Friday and Saturday that we were there!
We couldn’t get any tropical drinks while we were there…no pina coladas or anything like that. We mostly drank rum and orange juice or beer! Lobby bar had the best cappuccino!
There were other parts of the resort closed for maintenance while we were there like the gym etc. but like I said it’s off season!
The only precautions I might add are if anyone has mobility issues…the walkways are not lit up at night! They were very dark even around stairs! If you were walking along and didn’t know the stairs were there you would fall because you couldn’t see them!
