good hotel and location. Staff where very helpful, accommodating and cheerful. Hotel is a bit Tired but still a great place to stay.
Went self catering and found the cost of living a bit of an eye opener (expensive)
Travelled freely on the local buses and found them to be very regular, cheap and fun. also the local people to be very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely 2 weeks here. The suite was spacious and clean, but a little tired. Our net curtains were ripped and our shower doors would not stay closed so we had to prop them shut. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the kitchen was really well equipped. There was an icemaker in the freezer for those homemade rum punches. There is also an iron and ironing board. The air con worked very well and was enhanced by fans in the lounge and bedroom distributing the cool air. It was very quiet but only a short walk to the shops and bars etc. The beach was lovely and clean and there were always plenty of sun loungers. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again and I would ask for my same room 316 if the shower door was mended and the curtains replaced.

Room tip: We had a nice garden and pool view from room 316

This review is in no way a reflection to the hotel itself as the hotel staff are lovely.

My review is about a number of staff in the bar and restaurant whereby there attitude towards customers is appalling I had a number of run ins with staff members one in particular which I can’t remember him name but works behind the bar in a blue t-shirt young, this guys attitude no matter when has to change he is awful to everyone and by the looks of it even awful to the people he works along side, he is like the mask police at present you can’t actually walk by him without him shouting mask mask mask when your outside and not even approaching him, if you go to the bar at the side on the outside without a mask then all hell let’s loose with him as he refuses to serve talks down to you and gives you some abuse. He won’t get anywhere in life or even a tip for that matter having a bad attitude like that. We all understand masks need to be worn in Barbados but people do forget and people are there to have a lovely holiday but instead get policed by this guy. I will be writing to the hotel itself about him. On the other hand some of the restaurant staff again with bad attitudes when asking about special dietary requirements roll their eyes at you tut at you and even don’t want to answer a question which meant one of my friends standing up and walking out. I really don’t know what it is with the staff in this area of the hotel but they will lose the hotel and the bar/restaurant money as nobody will want to sit and pay to be treated like the way they treat people. Hopefully the next time I return attitudes have changed or these people that clearly don’t want to be there working have left and moved on to somewhere that doesn’t involve working with tourists or even the general public. This was only a small review as I could actually go on longer but I’m sure this does point out how badly customers are being treated and it needs to stop asap.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Divi Southwinds. The suite was spacious and well equipped for cooking and relaxing. There were 3 pools, all clean. The surrounding gardens were well kept and I saw the grounds staff working hard daily. The beach was less than 5 minutes walk and was paradise.

It's a shame there was no restaurant serving evening meals onsite but this wasn't a huge problem because the hotel is situated right on St Lawrence Gap where there are loads of places to eat.

All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room tip: Lots of onsite parking available. Great location.

We stayed at Divi for 2 weeks in late March. We got a pool view which was lovely. The room was well equipped and anything we asked for we got. The location is perfect, close to all the bars and about a 5 minute stroll to the beautiful beach. The sea was a bit rough but there is a small swimming pool right at the beach that we went to cool down in. We walked along the top road to Masseys supermarket which only took about 20 minutes and called for a drink on the way back. Everyone on Barbados is really lovely and the staff at Divi couldn't have been any better. We went to a lot of the bars and restaurants but our favourite was Cafe Sol. Gets busy though so a good idea to book. Roll on next March as we've booked already.

By far the cheapest TUI package holiday so was going to just use it as a base however exceeded our expectations. Hotel and rooms great and comfy bed, great shower. Pools were great and grounds all tidy.
Friendly staff and it was in a great in location on the Gap and in quiet! Would of preferred calmer seas for our daughter to swim safely in but not far to Carlisle bay.
