We loved the fact that this old cottage was close by to Louisbourg fortresss site (which is great for travelling). This nice small cottage had two cozy bedrooms, a tiny kitchen and a nice living-room / eating place with TV. I was a bit worried with the fridge because there was black mold on the sealant rubber surroundind the fridge's door, but the inside was clean.
We had two main deceptions. The first is that contrary to the picture showing the cottage on a nice green lawn with picnic tables (which is actually the site for the campers that pack in the back of the cottages), the cottages have a front porch on a huge asphalt parking for all the cottages, the village's laundry place and it's convenience store, all in front of the main road intersection. It did not feel countryish, but rather really urban. Our second deception was that we had to go to the convenience store clerk to get our room key. Unfortunately, that cleck was a young person who did not even greet us or give us a smile, and adressed us as if we were a burden. This did not feel professionnal nor welcoming.
