Son was stationed here for boot camp. The sailors and staff we met here were informative and friendly. Be sure to watch-out for the multiple stop signs coming in, I was schooled on that by the guard on duty....I ran one....oops!!

nothing special just an old run down base that the navy does their basic training. not sure why they still do it here honestly because north chicago is an old run down crap hole and illinios is expensive and out of the way. it should be moved to virgina or hawaii anywhere but this toilet, by the way the off post commisary and px are trashy dumps so dont bother going there just go to vernon hills or gurnee where its at least safe

First off the base was very clean and security was very friendly and accommodating, better then most bases. Every person we interactive with were friendly from the newest sailor to Taco Bell service. If you have a sailor there go see them and this wonderful base

Being retired Army, the Navy experience is totally new. But very excited for our sons decision to serve in the US navy. Everyone here was super nice.

The home of Navy Enlisted recruit training. The journey starts here and goes around the world. Great place with people who care.
