Having stayed in two kinds of rooms in this property I can say that the room without the balcony, at least the one we stayed in, is nicer with more up to date features and better lighting. The balcony is nice however, and as the windows do not open, it is the only way to hear the ocean and get the ocean breeze. We stayed in two rooms over a four day stay because of a glitch in our reservation. Checking in and out at this hotel is a pain with valet parking and an added trip to the security desk to fill out more forms. The very early 10 AM checkout has no flexibility and there were no early check in without paying a fee and if they hold your bags for your they also charge a fee. Their business model seems to be to rack up resort and other a la carte fees. Buyer beware. If this review were based on the room and view alone it would have a high rating but the bureaucracy and poor service really lowered the enjoyment of our free days in Miami. There are a lot of other properties in Miami with beautiful views that do not have these problems.
