After MUCH research, we decided on Marriott Pulse for the location and the larger rooms to accomodate our family of 5 more comfortably. We stayed 2 nights prior to boarding our cruise. We arrived on a Wednesday about 6 pm to discover the entire block was having a power outage. The hotel was great to come up with a creative solution to still allow us to check in and walk up the stairs to our room. They also extended the complimentary happy hour for all guests that day in the lobby during the duration of the outage. Our room did not disappoint. After reading the reviews, I had planned to request a room facing Ocean Ave, but with the outage we were just happy to get any convenient room. Our room patio door opened to the courtyard. We loved the quaint European feel of the courtyard and the fact that it seemed to protect our room from noise. We loved our complimentary beach cart and toted it to the beach the next day!! We loved the Tommy Bahama style chairs and umbrella. We also loved having the towel bins in the hallways to toss our beach towels in. We took advantage of the complimentary washer/dryer as well. On day 1 we had a reservation at the Havana restaurant, but since the power was out we walked elsewhere for dinner. We loved the staff, the complimentary bicycles, and the location! There is an incredible French sandwich shop around the corner for lunch. The historic Betsy hotel at the end of the street is worth checking out to listen to music in the lobby or the courtyard on the back side. Definitely take advantage of the rooftop happy hour! We also visited the Italian restaurant Vino y Pan around the block where they literally stand in there and make the pasta. Such an incredible experience, but you'll need a reservation. We were very happy with this hotel and especially the large room size with 2 queens and a sofa bed for our family of 5.

We stayed here in early June 2022. The location was perfect. It was across the street from the beach, close to dining and museums. We were able to walk to a lot of the places we wanted to visit. I loved their live music and complimentary mojitos on the first night.

The room itself had a lot left to be desired. When we entered the room, there was no view. Our room was facing the building beside us. It was also a little dark and dank. The bedroom itself looked beautiful, but look are sometimes deceiving. Each morning we woke up, we noticed bites on our bodies. After the first night, I thought perhaps we had been bitten while we were out. But, as the next few nights rolled by and I had new bites each morning, I figured it was something in the bed. Just before checkout, I contacted the front desk regarding the bed situation. A manager came to our room and inspected the bed. He stated he didn't see any bed bugs or signs of them. He suggested we had possibly been bitten by a mosquito. But, they were supposed to call a professional to come out and inspect the bed and call to give us an update. Unfortunately, no one ever called. It's been weeks and we have not had a update and we have not heard a single thing from Marriott regarding our experience.

I wanted to like this hotel so much! The location was excellent, as was it's proximity to the beach. There was even a convenient little beach cart with chairs and an umbrella in our room to be used on the beach. The live performers were so great. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. But, they completely mishandled the bed situation.

What a wonderful hotel! We had an amazing weekend here in July, prior to leaving for a cruise on Monday. The staff are all OUTSTANDING. No matter who we interacted with - everyone was pleasant and helpful. Our room was immaculate, and so comfortable. The beach cart is also such a nice touch. We had breakfast at Havana 1957 one morning, and it was delicious, also with great service. The rooftop happy hour was well done with an enjoyable saxophone player. We also loved that they provided bicycles, and took an early morning ride, as it was so hot. We loved the Art Deco architecture with all the modern conveniences. Considering how nice the hotel is, we felt that the rate was very reasonable. If visiting Miami in the future, we would definitely stay here again.
