Booked a six day trip to Magic Village Yards based on reviews on this website and also Expedia. First I just want to say I booked a 4 bedroom condo and it was great. After that its all downhill. The pool was unkept and cloudy, very little maintenance because there we a lot of bugs in it. Chairs were never straightened up and the cushions were filthy. While I was sitting there a landscaper came in to cut down a tree stump. Stuff everywhere! Oh and the hot tub never worked. There were signs for the restaurant and the bar hours. Total lies, I personally never saw the restaurant open, my sister tried to go to the bar and found out it’s not a pool bar, you can get beer or wine if there’s someone around. I saw two employees the entire time I was there. They sat behind the desk. I contacted the property before my trip to ask about a late checkout. I was told to ask the day before you leave shouldn’t be a problem. When I went to the desk I was told “we don’t do that” “sorry someone’s checking in” Even though on the website it says there is 24hr between checking and checkouts. And the fronts gates were broken the whole time so they just left them open. I emailed the “resort” manager and tried to call Wyndham before I posted my review hoping there would be some response but noone got back to me. I do not like to leave bad reviews but I was left no choice. People spend good money to stay in nice places while there on vacation. Wyndham obviously figures people would be too busy to use the amenities. I believe it’s called Deceptive Business Practices. I gave 2 stars because the condo was nice but otherwise the amenities don’t really exist. Shame on you Wyndham for using the old Bait and Switch to rent out condos. Could be a great place.
