Great location. Old time Florida feel. Very clean. Employees and fellow guest all very friendly. Entertainment was great and I never had to leave the balcony. Beach across from the hotel also very clean. Water was crystal clear.

Review of Riptide Oceanfront Hotel

Affordable and clean beachfront location, perfect for our one night stay. Room was simple but well appointed with everything we needed including beach towels and ample closet space. We enjoyed having the live music outside our room, and also appreciated that it ended before bedtime. Parking was tricky, since the code did not work for us, but the staff was responsive and helpful.

Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly. They allowed us to check in early which was wonderful. As for the accommodations, the unit was run down, not updated. Floors were dirty and the guests above us could be heard with the slight footstep on the ground, very loud, to no fault of theirs. This unit looked like it was originally a 2-story unit because the stairs to the top unit was in our room. One of the stove burners did not work, this wasn't a big deal because the other three did. The plates were dirty/oily from possibly the last guest. Finally, at night around 10:00pm, someone was knocking on the door. Multiple times, the hotel/room is easily accessible to anyone on the "broad walk", if you stay here, definitely get the 2nd floor. My girls (young adults) were scared and ended up leaving and not staying the last night. We have stayed here before and had a much better experience; however, we won't be going back. Especially at $250/night.
Room tip: Stay on the 2nd floor. Don't drive a large truck, parking is limited and extremely tight. My husband' Ram would not fit in the lot.

Our suite was fully equipped and very clean! Directly across from the beach and nearby shops and restaurants. Live entertainment and the vibe was perfect! We enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend it!

The location is amazing! Right on the beach! Hotel is only separated by a small boardwalk where you can people watch to your heart's content. I stayed in the South building where the Tiki bar was located. At first I didn't think I'd like the noise, but it grew on me and eventually looked forward to it (all closes down at 9:00 pm). Fun atmosphere!
Hotel room was clean and staff was friendly and attentive. What all should understand is this is an older hotel and the rooms are not great (loud wall AC unit, uncomfortable bed, small bathrooms). BUT! Every time I looked out my ocean view window, all that didn't matter. How much time do you stay in the room anyway! For the price and the location, I will be be coming back!
Room tip: Make sure to bring a beach umbrella! On really hot days, it allowed me stay on the beach in the shade and just take in the sea breeze/waves

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed. Maggots were crawling around on sink and on table. We tried to sleep on bed that had a plastic mattress cover under the sheet like we were beb wetting kids . Disgusting.
