Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! I took off a point for some cleanliness issues, but the price was great, the location was perfect, we enjoyed the pool, and the room was the perfect size and setup for our family. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay again. They are using covid as an excuse to not clean the rooms every day—it would have been nice to have an option for that. We were able to switch out towels as needed, we just had to take our dirty ones to the office. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying. The room could have been a little bit more clean—nothing major, except they forgot to empty the trash from the previous guests. But the front desk apologized and seemed truly embarrassed about that one. We used the kitchen quite a bit, for leftovers at lunchtime, and we made coffee every morning. They provide hotel-style coffee pods, but we just brought our own favorite coffee from home. We had to buy filters at the market down the street, so bring some of those, as well.
The location is fantastic—just down the street from the beach and the broadwalk. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. And several markets for groceries, drinks, and snacks. There’s also a playground close by. We appreciated the pool—sometimes you need a break from the salt water and waves. We swam several times. It’s a smaller pool, but it never got too crowded.
The size of the room was just right—we all four slept comfortably. The beds were very comfortable, too. I was kind of surprised—I usually have a hard time sleeping in strange places, but I slept well. We really enjoyed waking up each morning to the sound of the green parrots outside—that seems to be the time of day they’re the loudest, which was totally fine with us—we loved seeing and hearing them!
The staff was very friendly. We really appreciated the beach towels and chairs, although we only used the chairs once, as they are wooden and fairly heavy, and since we were there with our young kids, and had 7,000lbs of other crap to carry. But that one time we took them, they were very comfy and nice to sit and watch the water. We saw many others using the chairs every day (they didn’t have small kids with them...).
Just as an FYI, we took Lyfts from the Ft Lauderdale airport—they were $35 and $30, but we saw the prices range anywhere from $25 to $40, depending on the demand at the time. I think Uber is similar. There did seem to be plenty of parking, if you drive—I think it’s $12/day.
Our favorite meals were at the Hollywood Brewing Company (we ate there twice—the fried red snapper and grilled bronzino were amazing, and if you order them on Thursday, you get a free pint of their craft beer), the Taco Joint, and the Sahara (we got the family-sized pizza and wings deal, and it was really good!). All of the restaurants on the broadwalk have outdoor seating with perfect views of the water. We really enjoyed that every night.

When visiting Hollywood Beach for a weekend, this is a great find. It is an Old Florida style hotel that is a bargain at $120 a night for a suite with kitchen. The unit was very clean, the hotel provided beach towels, a complimentary beach bag and beach chairs. Parking is an extra $12 a night but it's in their private lot, safe and a bargain as there is nowhere to park this close to the beach on weekends. Hotel staff were very friendly. We liked it so much we stayed just before flying out of Miami to Antigua and again upon our return. Walk across the street for a great casual dinner at LeTub for "the world's best burger" or upscale seafood at Billy's Stone Crab. We also loved Georgio's Greek deli and coffee shop one block up. If you want to pay several hundred dollars for resort lodging you can go down the street to Margaritaville, but if you just want a clean, friendly and comfortable place that is affordable, stay here. We'll definitely be back. One down side is that the pool is very small so if you are a pool person, this is not for you.

Well maintained older hotel consisting of several buildings, just steps from beautiful Hollywood Beach, one of the prettiest beaches I have seen in Florida. The miles long boardwalk offers plenty of recreational activities along with restaurants, shops and entertainment. All of the room are updated and very clean with kitchenettes in every suite. Some room are larger then others, so you may want to view a couple of rooms if you have a choice of rooms. They offer free beach chair and towels, there is a small swimming pool at the front of the hotel. Price wise this was the best bargain in the area, in such close proximity to the beach. I like that you can walk right outside your door, no elevators and long hallways. There is some green space and a deck with grills, great for families.

The location is great - 300 ft from the beach. It was under $175 daily which was below average for area hotels. There were numerous bad points. First, when I entered the room there were no hangers, forks, or knifes. Second, Cleaning staff never cleaned the room before 330 pm despite leaving the room at 10 am. We would come back from the beach and the room and it wasn't clean. The cleaning was also sloppy (dishes left unwashed, coffee not resupplied,...). Finally, my room was falsely advertised as 340 sq ft - it was 280 sq ft which is not tiny but the false advertisement is frustrating.

This hotel is in a fantastic location near the Hollywood Broadwalk. They are not doing any mid-stay housekeeping now, even upon request. They will not provide extra towels or any cleaning supplies if you wish to tidy up yourself. Sand gets tracked into the rooms, and there is no way to sweep it out. There are no paper towels. If you want a clean towel, you must take your dirty towel to the office and exchange it. There’s no lobby, no amenities, nothing. They do not provide a way to dispose of your trash during your stay, which tends to pile up. Our room had a mini kitchen with a few dishes and a tea kettle. Living area and bedroom each have a small tv, with dangling cable box. There are two remotes for each, but no instructions or channel guide. One tv would not work at all. The cover on the day bed was stained and torn. A huge cockroach crawled across the floor on our last night. A/C is a noisy window unit. The office is closed, and you must tap on the window for attention. They do provide beach towels and chairs, one per guest, that must be returned to the office before check out. The staff is not very accommodating. The pool is tiny and right next to the A1A. The pool chairs were old and filthy. We paid $150/night and that was too much for this accommodation.

It experience started off horrible. The lady at the front desk was rude. I am not a spanish speaking person but this town is almost entirely hispanic. The hotel attendant skipped me twice to help people that spoke her language. I literally had to force my way to get checked in. At this point the attendant is beyond rude. She took my credit card for a 100 incidental fee and when she gave me my receipt to sign she had charged 250 to the card! She quickly snatched the receipt back and gave me a receipt that now said 0 dollars. I'm frustrated and tired and had been traveling for the past 6 hrs. I Just want to get in my room. She gives me a key and tells me my room has been upgraded to a jr suite. I'm not arguing any further but I paid for a jr suite!!!!!!!!! Finally get to work it suite. It was literally 200 feet from hollywood beach and broadwalk! This was probably the best thing this hotel had to offer. Once in the room it smelled clean and fresh. It was well stocked with pot and pans full kitchen with a full size fridge. Bathroom was decent as was the bed. However the pillow had candy stuck on the pillow case a clear indicator that it wasn't changed from previous guest. The quilt also had candy on it. The walls and baseboards need a deep cleaning but aside from this it was pretty good. Quiet and in a safe area. Despite the way things started I would stay there again as it was convenient to everything! And cheap.

First of all, this is a pretty darn old hotel! It has been modernized and is kept up pretty well. The location is a stone's throw from Hollywood Beach, walk time to the beach is like 30 seconds! We had a kitchen and a nice little sitting area. AC units worked very well. Appliances were a little tired and the bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked. The toiletries are plentiful and not great (soap could use an improvement). Also, ice machine is in the office! Took me a bit to figure that out! But location, location, location! And a great price as well!

We arrived at 10:00 a.m. after getting off a cruise ship. I was hoping that they would allow us to stow our luggage so we could go out walking. The woman at the counter told me check in isn't until 3:00 p.m. but let me see what I can do. We were all checked in and in our room by 10:15! Now, that is customer service. We loved our room which was equipped with a stove & refrigerator and was very spacious and clean. The location is wonderful, we walked all over and it was only a short walk to the Broadwalk where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. The customer service continued all through our stay. We asked how far the grocery store was and she called for a free ride service to take us. We will definitely be back to this hotel in the future.

This is a great location for the Hollywood Beach area of Fort Lauderdale it is right off the main Boardwalk strip where all of the restaurants stores and action is. If you know Hollywood Beach area it is a great location. The hotel was very clean and very nice staff. But everything was very budget and old. I give a 4-star rating because of the price you can't expect much more then what they provide. I would recommend it for anyone that is traveling on a budget. They have full refrigerators in the room. And very convenient parking

I've stayed here many times. The rooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. The staff is terrific. I love this place. My only problem with the place is that, more often than not, the advertised bargin rates seem to be always sold out for the days I'm headed that way.
