We had two nights before a cruise and wanted to try somewhere new rather than stay in Ft Lauderdale. Riptide was the perfect choice. Great location, spotless rooms, amazing staff who go out of their way to make you happy, great bartenders, and great music. The music could get loud at times, but they ended it right on schedule (9 pm during COVID).
Loved the location! Staff all pleasant. Live music all day long . Reasonably priced drinks. No food service while we were there though. No fishbowl drinks like advertised. Room was clean. Would definitely return.
Riptide is the perfect getaway. It has the ocean, a tiki bar, and friendly staff. The room was clean and had everything you need. Most parking is off site and you need to get out of your car to enter keycode. My daughter is relocating to Dania Beach. My husband loved the ambiance so we will be back!
What a hidden gem. We had a blast gathering in the court yard every day. The tiki bar was alive and well playing live music every afternoon and evening. NO, IT WAS NOT OBNOXIOUS AND LOUD. The live music was acoustic, a pretty low volume and ended at 8pm. The tiki bar also wrapped up around 9 except for the young man who cleaned up for the day. The property was extremely clean including the rooms- we had several rooms.
Location Location location- the only thing separating you from the soft sand and surf was the broadwalk. The young ladies at check in were delightful. The rooms were not Marriott grade but clean and functional- and definately not Marriot priced. Very affordable for beach front. Our group had a wonderful enjoyable few days and were planning our return visit on our way home. Thank you Rip Tide and staff for providing such a positive vibe.
The south building is where the tiki bar is located. The north building is adjacent. It's only 2 floors so not big and overcrowded. It was cool that the hotel provided beach towels and beach chair in each room if you fly in. Helpful hint-there was a small coffee pot in each room but bring your own supplies- coffee, filters ,sugar. I would also suggest your favorite big mug but there were cups and dishes.

Our stay here blew away our expectations. The rooms were somewhat dated, but clean and accommodating and we especially loved having the kitchenette space. The woman who checked us in was so friendly. The location was PERFECTION! While our room was not “ocean views” right outside our door were chairs and the most perfect ocean view… literally steps from beach and Hollywood beach strip. Our favorite part of our stay had to be the tiki hut- prices were great and so was the service. Music and entertainment every night made our trip extra special. Absolutely recommend. We almost don’t want to so we know we have rooms in the future LOL thank you!
