I regularly go to HK and have not been too thrilled with the hotels there. expensive, small, in need of renovation. That is, until I happened upon the Eaton. Smack on Nathan Road in Kowloon, across from Temple Street Night Market and a 5 min walk from Jordan MTR. It's a concept hotel, with an art space, music, the funnily named Bad Baby (L'Enfant Terrible) Cafe, haha, and a two-story food court in the open basement. Rooms are not too big, but sufficient. Great new carpets, and a bathtub, a real luxury in HK. Add to that the rooftop pool and gym, and you have a great place. It also boasts co-working spaces, a magnificent and very affordable breakfast, and is LGBTQI+ friendly. Amenities include recyclable toothbrushes and toothpaste, a converter and mobile charging cables, the latter in the desk drawer. Additionally, the young black-t-shirted staff is available everywhere and very friendly (in HK!). Prices are well below other HK chain hotels, so all good on that front as well. Minuscule gripes: the toilet paper feels cheap, and body lotion and Q-tips would have been nice. Overall, great find, I will return!
