We arrived early Saturday before noon and our check-in with the preferred lounge was fast and easy. Two couples in our group, our rooms were not ready yet so we went to the restaurant and pool until 3 pm when we checked into our ground level rooms in building #4. Our daily housekeeping was excellent and they are to be commended. Our building was centrally located in the hub of almost everything at Dreams Jade. The only far walk of about 2-3 minutes was to the adult-only pool. Everything else was so easy to get to.

I rated this resort as a 4 mostly due to the fun we had here! It may be considered by some experienced travellers as a true 3 or 3.5-star due to the amenities and level of "luxury" compared to other resorts. I have been to many other Dreams, Secrets and Breathless resorts and Jade is a place I would definitely return to. The food was generally good; the service was mostly excellent; the entertainment team was exceptional; the spa was good and economical compared to many others; the gym sufficient; the roof-top pickleball court was open for play; the pools were very warm (over 90); and the resort layout was perfect.

I wish to mention the staff members who helped make our 8 night stay memorable:
Spa - Elizabeth. She took us through our hydrotherapy circuit and she provided a very nice relaxing face/scalp massage at the end that was wonderful.
Carnaval buffet restaurant - servers Edgar and Leo especially went out of their way to exceed expectations for us on a daily basis and like us, many others requested to be seated in their section.
Spice asian food restaurant - Miguel. He has a legendary number of good reviews here and we can vouch that they are well-deserved. He is by far the very best Teppanyaki chef we have had out of double-digit numbers. So skilled and entertaining.
UVC staff - Luna was very congenial, helpful, honest and a man of integrity. I am a UVC member and have had many dealings with UVC staff in many of the resorts of this chain for over 12 years plus. Very few compare to Luna for the reasons I mentioned.
Swimming pool concierge staff - Adult pool Scott was very good at his job and helpful.
Family pool - Diego was also very good at his job and helpful to us.
NOTE: The pool chair game was at a high-level as the resort was busy. At Jade, the concierge staff monitor the loungers and if they notice chairs not being used for over 30 minutes they investigate and do remove contents left to "save" chairs when those guests are nowhere to be found. Some clowns will reserve loungers at the family pool, the adult pool, and on the beach. So it is nice to see that this resort tries to maintain a fair system of the use of the loungers.
Finally the entertainment team. - Led by Andrea, they work tirelessly and keep the vibe up-tempo and the games fun for all! We especially had great interactions playing many games with Saul, Jenny, Dylan, Angel, and Antonio. This team worked so well together and all seem to be great friends too. Their energy is contagious and guests really enjoyed the activities.

The day & nightly entertainment included Super bowl Sunday which was simply outstanding with all the food options, large TV screens, and an electric atmosphere that was far better than watching it at home. One night the resort brought in a show team that performed break dancing, robotic dancing and 2 BMX riders doing stunts. This show was one of the best I've ever seen at a resort!
