Despite the circumstances and the weather the service was great. We had very amazing staff taking care of us. Roberto went above and beyond his job to make sure we had what we needed . Jose was also a great server over all enjoyed our stay.

I was a little comprehensive about going on vacation in the middle of this pandemic but so glad I decided to take the trip. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted warmly. The nice man took our temperature and luggage and got us to the check in desk. Check in was quick and not a big deal. We didn’t stay on the preferred side and had nothing but perfect service and treatment. All employees had on masks at all times and most guest practiced social distancing when possible. The grounds are beautiful and I especially loved all the pools (5). I’ve never been to a resort w pools like these. I also loved the beach. Yes, there was seaweed from the storms but they kept the beach clean and they have a turtle preservation area, how cool is that!! It’s also important to mention that the floors aren’t slippery like at every other resort I’ve been to. I appreciated this. Also, there were three of us in the room and when we got to our room, they had the pull out made into a bed. The best part of this resort is the service. I can’t list every single name because I honestly had only great people surrounding me. Everyone works hard and it shows. I spent most of my days at the swim up bar. Teresa was always so good to come to us, get our drinks, take the old, etc. All of the bar tenders were also on top of it. Alejandro made it a point to make special drinks that we loved. The meals were also good. Some of the best food I’ve had at a resort and I liked that they plated the food at the buffet instead of all of us touching it. Also, we used sanitizer going in and out of the restaurants. My favorite restaurant was the Mexican but breakfast and lunch had a nice variety with quality food. Antonio and Jorge were our waiters for several meals and did such a great job. Instead of menus we had them on our phones to look at. Also a nice touch. We never had any issues getting reservations where we wanted to eat but we did make them first thing each morning. I can not say enough about the entertainment staff. They really set the tone for the stay. We loved the shows and it’s evident that they put a lot of effort into them. Good dancing, fabulous costumes, fun games. I recommend going each evening to the shows and taking part in daily activities. We had so much fun because of the entertainment staff!! I can’t thank Andrea and Roy ( Rodrigo) enough for always making a point to speak, call us by name, include us, invite us, etc. They really did set the tone for our days. Because of the rain, the staff worked extra hard to keep all of us engaged and entertained. There is even a bowing alley. If I had to make a recommendation, I would say bring a small fan, bug spray and sunscreen. The room wasn’t hot but never really cooled off either. The mosquitoes come out at night relentlessly. This is a lovely resort to soak up sun and to have a good time.

We stayed at OCT for two weeks. Everyone from the bellboys, reception, bartenders, kitchen staff, waiters, entertainment team and cleaning staff were friendly and attentive to our every need. During our stay OCT maintained the maximum 30% capacity and kept all areas of the hotel properly sanitized. You will definitely be able to enjoy your stay without worrying about crowdedness or getting sick.

We loved sharing stories and laughs with all the bartenders at OCT. Our favorite bar was definitely the lobby bar and our favorite bartender was Estrella - thank you for the laughs and always remembering our favorite drink!

We loved all of the restaurants but our top three were: (1) Girasoles, (2) Bistro and (3) Ritratto D' Italia. All of the bars and restaurants use a QR code to view their menu. We thought this was a great way to maintain health safety measures. Do not leave OCT without having one of Edith's sweet crepes!

Thank you to the Blue Team for organizing all of the daily activities that kept us entertained. Our favorite activities were the crazy games, dance lessons, professional dance performances and BOWLING!
