Description: Marc Gascons, who has been awarded a Michelin-Star, following the huge success of his family-run establishment in Girona has been described as fresh, young and informal, but very much Catalan and Mediterranean in style. The restaurant has a team of twenty people and delivers a seasonal menu designed for sharing, consisting of locally soured produce from the land and sea. Among the dishes designed by Gascons are: honeyed potato gnocchi with butter sauce and black winter truffle; charcoal grilled turbot with roasted leek; and grilled black kid with herbal oil. All dishes can be enjoyed with a impressive selection of wines, ranging from local Catalan to others from Spain, France and Germany.

As we were staying at the Serras Hotel we had multiple meals at Informal restaurant, both downstairs and on the rooftop. All were excellent. Lovely, friendly service and delicious food and cocktails. Highly recommend the croquettes and the papatas bravas. The view from the rooftop is wonderful.

Fantastic terrace restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is quiet and elegant. The food is really refined and delicious. The white asparagus and tuna tartare were both super fresh and delicious. Veal tartare was also really good as is the beef fillet. Desserts were all fresh and tasty. A must go in Barcelona.

This is a fine dining experience. We were a little intimidated walking into such a formal hotel lobby but took the lift to the top where the terrace dining area was. Great view across the harbour and although formal the staff were friendly and very welcoming. We ordered the patatas bravas ( unlike any other anywhere!) and sardines and bread. Patatas bravas were crispy and thinly sliced and fried - the sauces were amazing.
For main my husband had the aged beef and potatoes and veg. It was the best he had had!
I had a Catalan dish with prawns and squid. No shells . The flavour was incredible!
It was quiet and elegant, just what we needed on our first night in Barcelona. The waitress took time to explain the dishes and traditions.
Quite an expensive meal, but worth it for the care put into the food and to feel special with a beautiful view.

The meal took 3 hours. Arrived at 7 main course wasn’t served until 9:30. The food was very pedestrian, the only dish that stood out was the white asparagus. My wife had scallops which were small and 3 on the plate. I had the cod cheeks with rice which were tasteless, only the rice was tasty. It took so long that they comped a second round of drinks. Dinner for two cost 70 Euros.
I will not return.

I had dinner here with my wife. The staff could not have been more attentive. They were genuinely concerned with our comfort and making it a pleasant experience. The restaurant itself is a beautiful setting- set on the hotel's rooftop overlooking the harbor. The food was authentic, local, and sophisticated. We enjoyed each course and our experience.
