The whole hotel smells like a pool, even in the room. It's super humid and hot, we couldn't sleep the first night. Some furniture it's broken and the bathroom is awful, the flush doesn't even work properly. The sheets are open and you can see the old and dirty duvet inside that I guess they never clean. But the worst thing is the wifi! wich right now it might take 4 min to upload this message.

We are very surprised for such a negative review. We understand that might be a malfunction in the bathroom, which is solved with proper maintenance, but not really to say that the furniture is broken and bed clothes dirty. And also the wifi! which is high speed 300 mb fibre-optic data transmission. We always try to make the customer feel at home and in the best way possible.

I cannot express how unhappy we were- we travel often and take the good with the bad most of the time but this was just too much! - also, the rooms are not cheap and therefore you expect a level of service higher than at a Motel 6.
We arrived and were put in a room where the air conditioner made so much noise it would have been impossible to sleep- worse off, the room wasn’t even cold. The shower water was cold and didn’t warm up, the window didn’t open... my goodness! We called reception and were met by an exasperated man who barged in and started taking the went off the ceiling without so much as a hello. He then told me to turn the AC off when I was in the room and leave it running when I was out ‘problem solved’... after going to reception we eventually got another room! This room, oh wow- the ‘mini bar’ fridge was broken/ not on and smelt terrible, there were glue tubes left by the sink, atleast the water was hot in this room but it was so dirty! The amount of dirt in this room was not okay... the AC made less noise but was by no means quiet. The safe didn’t open and the TV didn’t work.
The staff at the front desk were nice and Helpful and did what they could, they were great! It is just a lack of interest on the part of the owner! A great deal needs to be done to get that hotel up to even a 2 star standard.! Poor, poor effort!

Hotel is very good located just in the downtown in a quite neibourhood. Speed wifi. All very clean. Staff helpful and nice.
Big rooms well decorated and very confortable beds.

Pros:
Great location, Eixample has some amazing restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. La Rambla is also about a 10-15 minute walk away. The nearest Subway (Urgill) is a 5 minute walk.

Confusingly there is a Sanyo CD and Cassette player in the room which was about 20 years old - seriously? Who on earth would use this? Replace this with some coffee and tea making facilities!
Don't trust the hotel's photos, room was smaller and rooftop pool looked a bit run down. Also most of the brown sun beds were broken. These were replaced by cheap plastic ones with no cushions which were very uncomfortable
I was disappointed on check out when we weren't asked how our stay was or even thanked for staying there. This is standard courteousness to hotel guests.
Seems to be one iron and ironing board in the hotel - both were in terrible condition. We were then rushed to use it with a man knocking at our door demanding it was returned.
The hotel needs some work on customer service and a bit of an uplift, but a comfortable bed and a good location is sometimes all you need if you are sightseeing in Barcelona.

We enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it.
The service at this hotel is exceptional.
The room had everything we need. It had a particularly large bathroom, including tub. The wifi and air conditioning were good.
There were a few English new channels on the TV.
Breakfast was good.
The location was perfect for us. It is about 300 metres away from one of the Urgell metro station exits. The bars we wanted to go to were nearby. There were plenty of restaurants and other amenities across the road or nearby, including one restaurant that blew us away in terms of price and quality. The main shopping street was about 700 m away, I would say. (Taxis are cheap in Barcelona.) There is even a little movie theatre a few doors down.
The hotel has a deck with a small pool. The pool is not swimmable per se. Too small; too shallow. But it was refreshing. And we enjoyed hanging out on the deck for a bit. I'm sure they'll replace the deck chairs soon.
I'm not sure this hotel is worth what we paid, but we would stay here again.
