The location is amazing only 1.3KM to the centre of the city and encourage us to do more steps.
Hotel is clean and spotless.
Rooms are very humid and hot and the AC is not working although we put the thermostat to the minimum still the room was warm in Jan .. finally we had to crack the window to get a good sleep.
Rooms has no coffee makers but they had one in the lobby.
The room service and breakfast is provided by third company and they were rude when I asked to get me some ice. They gave to me but said next time i have to pay for the ice ... that was something never heard off and I have been travelling for over 40 years.
The lady at the reception desk got into an argument with one of the tenant because she drank too much coffee (3 cubs) although they told us they provide coffee 24/7 as unlimited. I really wanted to get into the middle of it but the poor tenant asked if she could pay for the extra coffee she drank! That was rude/humiliating/embarrassing and uncalled off.
The other staff was great and the cleaning service lady was awesome.

I stayed there for 5 nights in Nov 2021.

Covid adherence:
Just wished the staff will constantly remind guests to put on masks as many a times, guests were not putting on mask even at the hotel lobby. At one point, a couple wanting to take the same lift did not put on mask and i had to ask them to do so.

Receptionist:
Pity i did not get her name. She was nice and managed to get me a quiet room away from the lift and front of hotel. Appreciated that much.

Room:
Has a small window that opens fully so that you could refresh the room. Wooden flooring and that was nice albeit a bit old looking. Bed was comfortable and there was a safe. Cleanliness was ok. Has a simple wardrobe with sufficient hangers. Bathroom looks a bit old and general cleanliness is fair and could be the condition of wear and tear. Room was generally considered spacious.

No kettle in the room and asked for one from reception and brought it to my room.
Consistently, on the top of the water, there is a fine thin "layer" of silvery looking stuff. I used bottled water to boil hot water.....this is not good and did not bother to ask to change.

Pool:
The receptionist told me the pool could be used but it was closed during my stay there. An ok sized pool though but due to the surrounding, you will have other residents/houses looking into the pool area.

Gym:
I went there one morning. Tried the weight machine and after about 10minutes, one screw came off and hit hard on my head !!! Did not use after that. I was just warming up with 10kg weights!!! The gym is extremely tiny so don't expect to do a proper workout there.

Distance to Urgell Metro station and others:
Walk about two and a half blocks. With luggage, it is a bit of a walk especially in spain's cobbled/tiled pavements. Not considered far - probably about 10+minutes.

I attempted to walk to La Ramblas etc and was an ok walk in the cooling weather.

On some days, when it rained, ah that's the time when it is difficult to access to the train stations etc and if i remember correctly, the hotel does not have umbrellas for guests.

Surroundings:
Feels safe in general while not many shops around. There is a smallish mart opposite to buy bottled water. After entrance exit to the right, walk straight up and you will come to a local market and a supermecado (supermarket).

Pricing:
Think it is slightly on the higher side.

Overall, i think the hotel is still ok and will stay there again while also hunting for another nearer the metro station.

This gem of a hotel is tucked away in a quiet street in Barcelona and is
only 25 mins car drive from the airport. It is about 1km from Las Rambles
and it is close to two metro stations (Urgell & Hospital Clinic),
the latter of which will take you direct to La Sagrada Familia in 15 mins for only 2.4 euros. The front of house staff speak excellent English and can
recommend local restaurants and shops. There is a Lidl supermarket within
5 mins walk in case you need additional supplies.
For an additional cost you can book the spa for 60 mins and have the place to yourself.
After you have checked out on your final day, they will look after your luggage and will also book a ride for you back to the airport. The rooms were cleaned daily, had a power shower and a corner bath tub. Our room had 2 TVs, one in the lounge and the other in the bedroom. There is also a mini bar and a lockable safe.
All in all a very enjoyable experience and when I return to Barca, I will
stay here again!!

Do not be fooled by the four stars and the photos. This hotel top to bottom is cheap. If you want to stay for 3-4 days the spa where the swimming pool is €15 a day per person so as a couple you’ll spend €90 - €120 euros for 4 days just if you wanted to swim. Our first rooms was like a prison cell. The tiny window didn’t open. And everything was dark. We were right next to the lift so noise kept us up all night. Did not feel safe. We then asked to move rooms. A bit more happy with the room. However, we could hear everything in the room next to us as they had joining doors which you could open? The air conditioning was broken, luckily the window opened this time after the receptionist said finding a room with a window that opened could be difficult. Most if not all the plug sockets were faulty. Finally as we were about to leave this hotel, our safe didn’t open with all of our belongings in meaning we had to go downstairs and wait for someone to come and fix it.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel

We had a very negative experience at this hotel we booked. It is truly disappointing to hear that the hotel advertised itself as suitable for disabled guests but did not provide adequate accommodations for my partner, who is quadriplegic. I had to move furniture myself in order to make the room functional just for a night, and it is unacceptable that we were not given the opportunity to view the room before paying upfront (for 7 nights)
As a hotel, they have a responsibility to ensure that all guests, including those with disabilities, are accommodated and provided with comfortable and accessible rooms. The fact that they refused to acknowledge their mistake and even made it difficult for you to get your money back is unacceptable.
It is disappointing and unacceptable for a hotel to advertise itself as suitable for disabled guests when it clearly is not. It is even worse that they demanded payment upfront and refused to refund your money when you discovered that the room was not suitable for your partner's needs.
For us is very concerning that the hotel refused to provide a refund when we requested it, forcing us to involve lawyers to recover just over half of the payment after over 3 months. This is not only an inconvenience, but it is also a breach of our rights as a customer. It is important for hotels to honor their commitments to customers, especially those with disabilities who require specific accommodations.

It is important for hotels to be transparent about their facilities and services, especially when it comes to guests with disabilities. This not only ensures that guests feel welcome and valued but also avoids any potential legal action or negative reviews.

I would recommend that the hotel management reevaluates their policies and ensures that they have the necessary facilities and staff to provide comfortable and accessible accommodations for all guests, including those with disabilities. This will not only improve the experience of disabled guests but will also protect the hotel from potential legal action or negative reviews. In the future, it may be wise to research hotels that have a track record of providing suitable accommodations for disabled guests and make reservations accordingly.
Sadly we will take this matter further.

Calling it a swimming pool is a lie, feel ripped off. When you select a hotel with a swimming pool, the prices went up by £300-400 for our stay, so a hefty increase, but they didn't have one. It was 1 foot deep, that's not a pool, if you can't swim in it then it's a glorified puddle.
Breakfast was vile, only edible part was the croissants, which seems pricey for £9 per day.
Bed was relatively cosy, but on wheels and made so much noise any time either of us moved in the slightest.
There was a buzzing sound that went off from the fan every 5 seconds, not too bad during the day, but when you're trying to sleep then it was a nightmare.
The staff were friendly at reception, the bright spark that kept us from going elsewhere as we were really tempted. Wouldn't book again.

The toilet seat was not attached to the wall properly. Mould around the lights in the ceiling. Water dripping from the ceiling in the lobby. Bit poor breakfast, to few choices. For example there were fried egg one day, but the next day nobody could make one when we asked. The pool was so shallow... mayby 50 cm, didn't say anything about that on the website.
Overall it costed a lot of money for poor quality in many areas.

This is an excellent hotel and ideally located to enjoy all of the sights of the beautiful city of Barcelona. Rooms are clean and spacious and beds large and very comfortable. In addition the hotel offers a great breakfast option and the welcome upon arrival at reception was very friendly and special mention to Daniella who was so, so helpful during our entire stay and such a great advert for the hotel.

First of all the reception was not really excited about us arriving late night and instead of paying there in the hotel they took already the money from our card we just had to confirm it in the hotel. The reception looks good but they are not caring about any customer. The room was a terrible surprise for us, the bathtub full of hair from the person before, we also booked a double bad and they put 2 beds seperated. So it makes even harder if you go with your couple to cuddle.
Me and my partner we both have escoliosis so we have sleeping problem because of our back, the bed is terribly uncomfortable so me personally I couldn’t sleep much, and upon this we both woke up with a lot of pain. No possibility to wash your teeth because there is no toothpaste available in the room, the television only has a couple of channels and these ones are really poor ones as well, if you don’t look at any detail and you just take a look for one second at the hotel you say it is beautiful…, maybe, but if you experience it is the difference like ground and sky.
I don’t recommend it.

Great hotel, friendly staff, big rooms, big beds (thin mattress though).
Only “negative” I have i that they offer quit little during breakfast. When I compare this to other hotels I’ve been for the same amount this is really very little.

Sepulveda. Under google, key in Barcelona Aeroporto Express Bus (or similar) travel from city to airport and it should show you where is the exact stop. It's about 4 blocks straight down and one and a half block to the right on Sepulveda street. Hope not too late for the reply.
