Booked a room incl ALL tax but still charge seperately at check out. Lot of noise from the road in front of hotel. Breakfast is good, staff is very kind. Room is well equiped, good wifi. Cleaning also good.

Very happy with stay in this hotel, was given a free upgrade and room was great, very modern with loads of usb ports making life easier! Massive bathroom too, pool area very modern and friendly staff throughout

Enjoyed the comfort of the room that 3 women shared.
Staff is very friendly and ready to answer any questions. Excellent location; walking the beach and stores close by. Able to buy tourist bus tickets from receptionist and assisted us with a map of the vicinity. Highly recommend!

Liked · This is my second time staying at Occidental for Skatelove festival. The location is perfect only 1 minute from the festival. The facilities are clean and nice to access the pool and rooftop for a cocktail or to cool off. Very close to the beach and 10 minute walk to nearest metro stop. There are lots of restaurants in the area as well and supermarkets. It is lovely for skatelove time as loads of skaters are also staying the hotel so very easy to hang out and make friends with fellow skaters.
Disliked · This time I ended up paying more for my stay than last year. Despite choosing the same room option we were in a much smaller room. Our first stay we had two separate beds, a small sofa and plenty of space. This time we did not have enough floor space to even open our suitcases!! For the price the rooms should be bigger. I asked to swap explaining but I was told this was not possible as the hotel was fully booked. I booked my room 9 month's in advance so I was expecting better. I do not know whether I will return as for the price there are other options even apartments which are more spacious.

We arrrived and the room was literally a sauna! The ac barely worked. Told the reception and they said they would get maintenance to have a look but no one came. Complained again and no one came. Ended up having to TRY to sleep with the windows wide open with the street noise keeping you up. For the standard of the room priced at €266 a night breakfast should be included!! €266 a night for a room you can’t stay in with no breakfast is a joke!

Good to be out of the city centre and near a beach. Selva de mar metro L4 in walking distance to get to city centre / harbour. Good breakfast although no ubiquitous cornflakes oddly and seemingly no English channel TV in our room anyhow (hence loss of a star). A niggle I know and a first world problem - nevertheless............................... Some good restaurants near by the Tango grill does good steak. And good morning coffee at the Granier Cafeteria at Carrer de Provençals which is 2 streets up on the way to the Selva metro
