We arrrived and the room was literally a sauna! The ac barely worked. Told the reception and they said they would get maintenance to have a look but no one came. Complained again and no one came. Ended up having to TRY to sleep with the windows wide open with the street noise keeping you up. For the standard of the room priced at €266 a night breakfast should be included!! €266 a night for a room you can’t stay in with no breakfast is a joke!

Good location and service

Good to be out of the city centre and near a beach. Selva de mar metro L4 in walking distance to get to city centre / harbour. Good breakfast although no ubiquitous cornflakes oddly and seemingly no English channel TV in our room anyhow (hence loss of a star). A niggle I know and a first world problem - nevertheless............................... Some good restaurants near by the Tango grill does good steak. And good morning coffee at the Granier Cafeteria at Carrer de Provençals which is 2 streets up on the way to the Selva metro

Occidental Atenea Mar

This hotel is my go-to when I visit Barcelona. I love the service they provide and the location. Staff is more than happy to accommodate and willing to go above and beyond to ensure their clients are satisfied.

Fabulous hotel

Great hotel with excellent facilities, the pool area is lovely and the hotel is spotless. We wanted a hotel out of the centre and this was perfect with taxis passing all the time. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Melanie who was in regular email contact organising balloons etc for my sisters room as we were celebrating her 50th birthday. The only criticism is the slow pool bar service with just one member of staff most of the time. The hotel could have made so much more money out of us and the cocktails had there been a quicker service but didn’t spoil our break and we all had a fabulous time. Would definitely stay again

Lovely hotel in great location

We booked this hotel for it's location and rooftop space. It is worth noting the pool is just a small plunge pool. The rooftop space with sunbeds and bar is fantastic, it is a shame that maybe due to the time of year (early September) the bar started to close between 5.30-6pm though access was available to the area until 8pm

A comfortable hotel with a convenient location and friendly staff

I had a nice stay at the end of August/September 2023. The room was comfortable, but be aware, for example, that a double bed is actually two single beds next to each other (situation in my room, not sure about others). Part of the hotel has windows near the road and better noise isolation would be good. On the other hand, you will meet friendly and helpful staff.The small pool on the roof of the hotel is great for refreshment and relaxation.
