Excellent boutique-style small hotel in quiet, safe suburb. Make sure to order taxis for downtown an hour ahead of time particularly on weekend evenings. Large rooms with modern furnishings. Wonderful breakfast kitchen and staff.
The hotel is a 15-20 minute taxi ride (10-15 euros) from all of the major sites in BCN. If you do this twice a day, it will still cost you less than an equivalent place downtown.

A really charming boutique hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, breakfast service in particular is very poor. If you are going to stay here I’d recommend you eat out unless you have a particularly high level of patience for bad service, especially if you are used to 5 star service. What a great little gem this Hotel is. We have never been to Barcelona before and there are plenty of options to stay there. We booked here based upon reviews we had seen. We were not disappointed, the location is super quiet, but close enough to transport for easy access to the city centre. Our Spanish is pretty ordinary, but the staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was so comfortable, the outdoor and indoor bar areas are great as is the menu. We could not recommend Primero Primera more highly and look forward to a return visit.

I loved staying at Primero Primera. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I got wonderful sleep and appreciated the room darkening blinds. We chose a room with a terrace and immensely enjoyed our morning coffee and evening wine while sitting out on it.
The whole staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and I enjoyed all the offerings. I especially enjoyed my morning cappuccino and eggs made to order.
We also enjoyed the garden/pool area. It was peaceful sitting in the lovely yard.
The hotel is situated in a residential area. We found this ideal, as it is a short taxi or train ride to anywhere in the city.
I hope to return to Barcelona and stay at Primero Primera again!

This is a good choice for Barcelona in local area away from tourists a short walk to subway get the balcony and breakfast well worth it. The hotel is a converted mansion the owner still lives on first floor..has homey feel to it..good front desk help alberto was standout..room is nice size balcony was nice..the breakfast was outstanding and Myrian was so helpful and friendly..the spread is beautiful and well worth the money..we felt the lunch/diner menu was limited food was good but one time is enough..there are small restaurants walking distance a real good Italian restaurant a few steps away is good. A barber shop down the street is excellent and a few small markets just a block away the subway is just down the hill you can buy the T casual pass zone 1 for 11 euro works on bus or subway and we used that a lot.
