This hotel is terrific. Period. Mostly for business, as you’re not AT the tourist centers, but you’re a quick tram, bus, taxi or walk from everywhere.
Service is friendly. The rooms are enormous and modern. Bathrooms are new and spotless. WiFi is great. The hotel is above a mall so everything you need is within reach. Outstanding.
I only stayed at this hotel for one night so I cannot really give a detailed feed. However a few things to comment. The room I stayed in is super clean and spotless. The room has all the amenities you need and given it’s a lower cost hotel, the standard is very good.
AC is what you would call a basic functional hotel. It hits all the marks and checks all the boxes. Checkin is really quick and the desk manager was must helpful.
Nearby you will find a mall with shopping and a food court. There are also a row of restaurants and bars behind. Spoilt for choice for dining.
This hotel has a great location. Right smack in Diagonal where there are lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy and choose from.
Big plus are their courteous, pleasant and helpful staff. From the reception all the way to the housekeeping.
Don’t mind staying here again.
We had a better than expected stay here for three nights recently while visiting Barcelona. From check in to check out, everything was wonderful. A spacious and bright lobby greets guests upon arrival. The front desk reception was warm and friendly. My husband is a Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador and we received a complimentary upgrade without even asking plus a nice jar of yummy chocolates was also delivered to the room.
Our room was on the 20th floor with a perfect view of Avenue Diagonal and Diagonal Mar Shopping Center which is across the street. The 2 room suite was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and supportive along with soft linens. Little amenities like toiletries, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, robes + slippers are always a plus. Huge walk-in closet with drawers, shelving and places for suitcases was very helpful and nice.
We did not eat breakfast in their restaurant however we did enjoy cocktails and appetizers in their rooftop pool bar area which had decent views of the city and some ocean.
Housekeeping was pleasant and attentive for any requests.
Other notes:
- our room was extremely chilly even without air-conditioning so at least you know it works!
- walkable area, although if going to any major attractions, city transit or taxis are recommended since it is quite a distance.
- if facing the mall side there is loud outdoor music from mall but ends near 1030/11p nightly. Ear plugs recommended for early or light sleepers.
We stayed here for one night between our cruise ending and our flight home. When we arrived at the Barcelona airport my husband realized he lost his wedding ring, and my son left his monogrammed water bottle on a table in the lobby. I messaged the hotel through the Marriott App and they responded immediately they would be on the lookout for both. 10 days later both arrived via post to our home back in the states. I truly appreciate everyone’s assistance finding and returning our forgotten and lost item.
