When our on-line reservations were incorrect, Rebeca went way beyond the call of duty to be sure that we had a room that suited our family’s needs. We are all so grateful as the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Just what we needed… thank you, Rebeca!!!
This is a very nice modern hotel. Great location next to a mall for many food choices, but a little far from inner city attractions. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was quite good with many options and helpful staff. We would visit here again.
The hotel was very nice and close to many restaurants and a shopping mall. I would have been more satisfied if the hotel was closer to Las Ramblas; however, the Barcelona Metro is a 10 minute walk away and takes you in 15 minutes to the Las Ramblas area. The on-site restaurant was very good and we enjoyed both breakfast each morning and dinner one night. The staff is very friendly at the front desk and at the restaurant.
I'm a Marriot Bonvoy member and was looking for a mid-range hotel in Barcelona. There are two AC hotels, this one on Diagonal and another by the Sants train station. In retrospect, the Sants AC is probably more centrally located to public transportation. However, the AC Diagonal L'illa was a very, very nice hotel which offered a comfortable stay. I appreciated the politeness of the English-speaking front desk staff. The beds are comfy; there is plenty of space (as can be seen in the photographs) and electrical outlets to charge laptops and other electronic equipment. It was, however, the bath towels that left such a deep impression on me for being so darn soft! I wanted to just roll around in them and take them home with me (I didn't, hehe).
Hello Barcelona travelers! You have found the right place if you visit THE AC.
Its just going to be called THE AC here because this staff sets the standard of what every Hotel should strive to be Marriott Family or otherwise.
I wish I could name everyone we came into contact with who made our week visit so enjoyable but its just too difficult when every single employee feels like an old friend but Ill give it a try.
The front desk staff was our first interaction after a 12-hour flight and Anna and Carolina were so welcoming and friendly we immediately felt we were in for a good stay.
The room was perfect and after unpacking and a shower it was time to hit the restaurant.
We were greeted by a smiling Romina who was extremely kind and provided excellent service and was very friendly.
The food, drinks and company were so perfect we came back a few more times during our stay and had the pleasure of hanging out with Sbas the bartender and Romina.
They were both very nice people and fun to be with and even though we never stayed for more than an hour or so it felt comfortable enough we wanted to visit our 2nd floor friends whenever we could.
This was our first time in Barcellona and this crew at The AC should do a commercial
for Spain they are so amazing.

Id like to say Anna was patient with us and spot on with everything she suggested and with Carolina also offering suggestions I seriously believe both of these agents should have Concierge included in their titles.
Our Housekeeper Shirley was also so friendly and accommodating with a smile on her face every time we passed her in the hallways.
Dear GM....I don't know what you are doing but your people seem to really enjoy their jobs and are very happy.
I had the pleasure of spending 24 years at The Westin St Francis in San Francisco
and only wish we could provide the excellent service and had a staff that cares as much as yours does.
You should be very proud.
