I am writing this review right now while I am in this hotel room because I am beyond irritated with the guest experience so far. After waiting 3 hours to check in (yes, we were a little early), we have a room which appears to be quite nice and we are pleased until I look out through the window and I tell my husband "Oh wow - this is not good." Apparently there is alot of construction/maintenance happening on the exterior of the building that NO ONE at the frount desk bothered to tell us about. The balcony of our room is completely unusable due to the debris and construction materials and my husband says "well, maybe as long as they're not around, it will be ok." Guess what????? About 1.5 hours after we get in our room, the construction workers are literally working on our balcony and deck area outside our bedroom. I scrambled to put a top back on because I don't know if they can see me or not while I'm sitting in the bed. You can hear their music playing if you don't have a TV or something else going. IT IS TERRIBLE. At a very minimum, we should have been told BEFORE going to our room that maintenance work is being done and that we might encounter someone on our balcony who is doing work - this is just pure common courtesy. This is the 2nd AC hotel we've stayed in during our trip to Spain and not impressed with either one, but this one takes the cake. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM IN THIS HOTEL IF YOU VALUE YOUR PRIVACY. This was not indicative of the Starwood brand and haven't been impressed with the Marriott way of doing things so far. Thankfully we are only staying overnight to catch a flight home tomorrow - otherwise I would be downstairs right now demanding a different hotel room. just absolutely ridiculous - this is how you treat your Platinum Elite members.......smh
