Ridiculously tiny room with a view to a firewall, the heating system doesn't work, not sure if even exists. Feels like the walls made by paper as you can hear your neighbour talking. Other than these, location wise is pretty good, just a few minutes away from La Rambla, however the streets don't feel safe around. Wouldn't go back here next time.

I'm sorry if you weren't pleased with the size of your room or the view. We have different views, some have street view and others are at the back. It depends what the client is looking for. We als have clients who ask for the rooms at the back because they say they are quiet and they're not in the room during the daytime anyway. If you would consider to come back, we could try to give you a room with street view.
We're happy that you mention the good location and we're happy that you liked this.

Fabulous hotel in every way. Central enough and yet not too near the hustle and bustle of city life. Spotless. Very friendly helpful and accommodating staff. Room was spotless and ideally located away from road front, look for Terra Suite. Breakfast top notch. Didn’t get to use rooftop hot tub unfortunately. Highly recommend here for perfect couples hotel break.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 week, hotel very clean and staff are friendly. Ideal location within walking distance.
Only got 1 criticism and that the noise from outside, so could really do with Double-glazing window.

I selected this hotel because of its location and because I wanted to have a really nice stay: I had to work and needed some comfort for that. So I decided to pay a bit more but to get that comfort. Well-well...
There are good things about this hotel. First, its location. This is really superb. Two steps to the metro station, and one can go by foot to the centre...
Second good thing, the stuff was very friendly. Not very helpful but definitely friendly.
I can also assume that probably the non-single rooms may be nice. But I stayed in a single room... Avoid taking a single room there!!! First, they are all looking in the inner yard, which makes you think of a prison. Concrete walls… very, very ugly. Second, the rooms are so tiny, it's hard to move around them. I'm used to small hotel rooms and usually am not bothered with this. But these ones are way too small!
Finally, I stayed there 4 nights and all these nights were spoiled by a strong and very unpleasant smell in the bathroom. I had to carefully close the bathroom door but still in the smell came into the room. (I actually noticed that the whole hotel was somewhat smelly... No recent renovations, probably.) On the third (!) day of my complains the receptionist suggested me to change the room. But the other room was not much better, and it was only one night left, so I refused (I appreciated the suggestion, though).
So, to conclude: single rooms are not to recommend. They are by no means 4-star hotel rooms!

I'm very sorry to read that you were disappointed about your room. We have only a few rooms which are smaller than the rest. It's really a pity that you weren't offered another room from the beginning. Normally when clients complain at the reception, we try to change them as soon as possible.
The smell only occurs sometimes. It's a problem in a big part of Barcelona. When there are some rainy days, it can happen.
I'm glad to read that you liked the location and our friendly staff!

Hotel is very nice and clean, staff is very friendly and the hotel is located in the heart of Barcelona. Walking and Subway transportation was easy, however do not walk to/from La Rambla down the alley behind the hotel. There are plenty of alleys that have shops, restaurants, etc, however this alley starts out nice from La Rambla but gets pretty sketchy by the time you reach the hotel. Guys changing clothes down to underwear, peeing by trash bins, keep moving on.

Thank you Dana for your review. I'm happy that you liked the hotel and our staff.
To avoid the small streets in the evening, you can gown down the Parallel Avenue and then to your left, towards La Rambla.

This hotel had only one negative and it was the small television in the room. Other than that, the room was good and comfortable. The service was so great that I'm still giving them a 5 star rating. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. He gave good recommendations on what to do in the city and directed us to a good hotel around the corner for dinner. The waitress at breakfast was very sweet and kind. Spoke to us about her family and daughter who lives in NY as well.

There's a train station about 5 minutes away. Parc Montijuic is a 20 minute walk. And many of the main tourist areas are either a 30 minute walk or 5 minute train ride. I found the location great!
